Aeppol Forest Girl's Coloring Book Vol.2 Premium Edition

I love the size, the hard cover, the artwork, the paper. I just love this book so much. I have colored one page so far. The sample pages are gorgeous to look at. I may just keep this book as is because it’s just so beautiful.

I love Aeppol’s work. I usually have to order them from other countries, so I was delighted that Amazon had this one on their site. The paper is great and the illustrations are simply stunning.The book lays flat for easier coloring. This is the premium hardcover edition and worth every penny.

This is the most enchanting coloring book. It may be my favorite of all I own. To explain the rating, the artist does not put all the details in the book that you will see on the little colored image to give you a suggestion of how it might be colored. He leaves out shadows from the sun, fabric prints, skies, the view from the window. You make this book yours by deciding what all those things will be. What a divine book! The paper is very thick, and could take watercolor if you don't make it too wet. I will use colored pencils because I haven't started watercolors yet. The images are enchanting, the thoughts and experiences of a 10 (?) year old girl, enjoying her books, her walks with her dog and chipmunk through woods, looking at snow, listening to music in a cozy room, dreaming with her furry friends curled around her on her bed. The girl is always the same, but her outfits are different, the pictures capture her mood and joy, the wonder of the natural world and her embracing home. If you can, get the Premium Edition, which is bigger in size than the other editions. The pages are marked on the inner boundary for those who wish to remove the pages--they are not perforated. I won't remove them because I want the book to remain intact. Perhaps if I get a second copy, I would remove the pages for the main purpose of not being influenced in how the originals are colored, as much as I love how they are colored. This book is the essence of innocence and childhood imagination, security, as if evil or bad doesn't even exist. It is in every way charming, and I have to give this book the highest rating possible. It is the kind of book I am glad to know even exists. I thank Aeppol for creating this book and reminding us that there is still innocence and good. I’ve wanted some of this artists books for awhile now, and finally decided to buy some. I did not know this book was going to be so gorgeous! First off, it’s much bigger than I expected. Secondly, the pages are watercolor paper! (Not arches by any means). But an unexpected surprise! In general I don’t color often, I prefer to draw and paint. But I am really excited to color these in! Her fully colored versions on the opposite page I feel will teach me new art techniques. Such a great purchase. I will be gifting this to others in my life that would appreciate it. I also ordered another of hers that’s softcover, it’s equally pretty, which makes me want to buy all of hers!

This book arrived in great condition considering it was shipped in a plastic mailer without any protection. This coloring book is such high quality and the images are gorgeous. The paper is fantastic and I can’t wait to use watercolors and pencils on it!

Possibly the most beautiful adult coloring book to date. Superb production values throughout. You won't regret buying this fine art hardcover with its heavy watercolor paper coloring pages. They're printed on only one side, so nearly any type of medium can be used. I bought the Premium Edition with free shipping as a Christmas gift to myself. I've seen this Korean import selling online for over twice what I paid when international shipping charges are added. I almost bought a very famous Japanese import until I saw spectacular "Forest Girl Premium Edition" for only $2.00 more. The other book has beautiful images, but it's just a cheaply bound softcover with much smaller dimensions, mediocre paper and no full-color pages or cover. Note that images in the 2018 edition of "Forest Girl - Volume 2" are entirely new and totally different from those in the smaller, softcover Volume 1. There is no crossover between the two coloring books. This large, hardcover book arrived within two days of ordering and in mint condition: Sealed in a clear plastic bag and shipped in a hard cardboard carton padded with a wide air pillow strip.

Fabulous!! Paper and illustrations are gonna be a dream.

This is such a beautiful book. I own the 1st and 2nd editions which are also top notch beautiful books. When I saw this premium edition I knew I had to have it. This book is a larger format and has lovely hot pressed watercolor paper that is a bit heavier than a heavy weight cardstock. Each line drawing has a painted image by the artist on the opposite page that you can mimic or use the color palette if you like. I hope this artist continues to create coloring books for us to enjoy. One of my very top favorite artists. I haven't colored or painted in it yet but I will update my review when I do.

I have Volume 1 of this book and this one does not disappoint either.

Dieses Buch ist einfach nur traumhaft schön. Aeppol gehört zu meinen absoluten Lieblingskünstlern. Da lohnt sich JEDES !! Buch. So liebevoll gestaltet, ach ….. ich könnte immer davon schwärmen. Ich kann’s nur jedem ans ❤️ Herz legen auch wenn die Bücher hochpreisiger sind. Das Papier ist klasse und jede Seite ist super was ich bei anderen Büchern oft nicht habe. Da gefallen mir manchmal 10 Seiten und der Rest ist ….. naja. Hier in diesem Buch sind alle Seiten spitze !!

A beautiful crafted book with beautiful illustrations, I love that the illustrator has also included completed works of each of the illustrations in this particular edition. The paper is quite good, though I have had small areas on the page where the paper has disintegrated a little when using water soluble mediums. May need to test mediums prior to use,
