Animal Stuff Mini 5 Step Value Line Dog Steps

Have been looking awhile for steps for our 5 lb Maltese. These are perfect. Now our little spoiled queen can come and go from our bed at night without waking us.. Was so pleased that after a few days we ordered the mini 3 step for the couch and another 5 step for our daughter's bed. These are well build and it only took her a few minutes and a hand full of treats to master the climb... now she hits the beds or the couch in a full run!!!Only suggestion that would change this to a 5 star rating would be some form of cover on the open backs. We turn these side ways at the end of the bed and would prefer the backs to be closed, but not a big deal.. I'll fix with a cover...Thanks also for the quick deliveries much faster than listed!..

I bought these stairs because I have three doxies who need help getting up on my bed. First of all, the height is perfect. The construction is sturdy and well made. The top step is level with the top of my mattress. The main problem is that the steps are too shallow and too steep and could probably be a little wider. The one dog that I purchased this for refuses to use them both to go up and down. I have one dog who will walk up them but won't go down. The other one won't even be bribed to go up them.I wish they were a little wider, probably 2" would do. And for sure, they need to be deeper and less steep.I would recommend anyone why is thinking about buying them consider the way they are built. I might use these as a model and ask my son to build me some with improved measurements.

I searched forever for a set of pet steps that would reach the top of my very high bed (34"). It seems like all the pets steps go to 20 or 21" and that wasn't high enough for my pomeranian to be able to reach. If I did find anything higher it was in the $200-$300 range which was too expensive.I finally found these which are 26" high and were not overly expensive. The step height is steep and was a little difficult for my very small dog to negotiate at first, but after some practice she is able to run up, and with a little more care, go down these steps just fine.They seem to be good quality and I like the carpeting that they are covered with. They are also not too heavy. I have had no complaints so far and would recommend them for anyone with a small dog that needs to get up somewhere high.

I had some of those plastic steps covered with a fleecy material for quite a while for my two Chihuahuas. Then we rescued a German Shepherd puppy who thought she was a small dog as she grew into a very big dog. She would step on those plastic steps until they broke. I did some research and nearly ordered another brand of steps until I carefully read the reviews and realized they would not be as sturdy as I needed. These steps fit the needs of my animal family perfectly! These are SO sturdy. My now 60-lb and growing puppy stands on these steps. They hold her weight and more. Very sturdy. Some of the reviews faulted the fact that they are narrow. They are a bit narrow but fortunately none of my dogs have had a problem with that. They work just fine. They are very well made. The carpet is very nice so the little dogs have traction - plus the stairs look a lot nicer than the old ones I had. These are taller than the old ones I had which is better now that I have a higher bed. You should take measurements to make sure these meet your needs. I recommend these steps.

...unfortunately I bought it for my little Malteze dog.I love the look,the sturdiness,the carpet.It's very well made.I love everything about it but my dog will not use it,he is afraid.I'm trying to coax/teach him ,but he won't move on them. Maybe taller sides would help.So I'm back here again at Amazon.com,looking for another set of stairs.IMO,They are kind of steep and very narrow for a dog but perfect for a cat..

IF YOU ARE HAVING TO LIFT YOUR DOGS UP AND DOWN OFF YOUR BED THE BEAR'S STAIRS MAY BE THE ANSWER FOR YOU. I AM GOING TO BE HAVING SHOULDER SURGERY SOON SO WAS WORRIED ABOUT HOW I WOULD GET THEM UP AND DOWN. I NEEDED MORE STAIRS FOR MY VERY HIGH BED THAN THE USUAL. AFTER SEARCHING I FOUND BEAR'S STAIRS. THEY ARE VERY WELL CONSTRUCTED, TAKE UP JUST A SMALL FOOTPRINT OF SPACE.(12" X 26" YET THEY ARE 26" HIGH, LEAVING MY DOGS WITH JUST ONE MORE STEP ONTO THE 31" HIGH BED.) WHEN I SAW THEM I WONDERED HOW MY DOGS WOULD DO, AS THEY APPEAR KIND OF STEEP AND NARROW. NOT TO WORRY....MY DOGS, A BOSTON TERRIER-PUG MIX AND A LHASA APSO LEARNED TO USE THEM AFTER WORKING JUST A SHORT TIME WITH THEM. AT FIRST THEY WERE RELUCTANT AND WENT UP SLOWLY WITH CAUTION AS I ENCOURAGED THEM USING A TREAT. WITHIN A COUPLE OF DAYS THEY NOW RUN UP AND DOWN AT WILL AND I AM NO LONGER AWAKENED WHEN ONE NEEDS TO GET DOWN OR UP TO GO OUTSIDE USING THEIR DOGGIE DOOR. THEY ARE A NEUTRAL BEIGE AND BLEND WELL WITH MY CARPET AND DECOR AND CAN BE PLACED ON THE SIDE OF THE BED LEAST SEEN WHEN ENTERING THE ROOM. I RECOMMEND THIS VERY NICE PRODUCT! I was hoping these would be better than they were. I liked the idea of the sides having a little railing for safety so I ordered these. Well it didn't take long for tthe steps to come apart because they were stapled together. My dog is only 4 1/2 pounds and the stairs are caving in. My husband says he's going to try to reinforce it but for what I paid I thought they would be good and sturdy. NOT!
