Fontanini Journey to Bethlehem Mary and Joseph Italian Nativity Figurines 51502

Very nice addition to my Advent display. When my daughter is older I want to use these to travel around the house during Advent then on Christmas they will go away and the Nativity display will arrive. Basically playing out the journey to Bethlehem and the birth of Jesus on Christmas morning.

I buy Fontanini because it is durable. When I received my order, the donkey's ear was missing and loose in the box. So I returned it and ordered a replacement. The replacement had the same ear missing too! Obviously a design error by Fontanini.

I'm for the tradition that Christmas begins on Christmas Eve, (not the day after Thanksgiving) and lasts until Epiphany, January 6. The period, about four weeks) before Christmas I observe as Advent, which has its own traditions and hymns.This set has a use unique to Advent, and I hope that the people I got it for will enjoy it.

Nativity

Beautiful Fontanini 2 piece set. The handpainting is incredible. We used this for Advent at Religious Education this year. It will be a great addition.

I'm going to start the Advent season with the trip to Bethleham...and thise beautiful piece will be perfect !

Fontanini figures are beautiful. I really enjoyed putting this out during Advent of 2017.

This is a wonderful visual representation of the preparation for the first Christmas. It really helps children to celebrate the Advent season.
