Dupioni Silk Fabric Iridescent Bittersweet, Fabric by the Yard

Good quality fabric. Was easy to work with.

I received .5 yards less than my order. Will have to see if I got a credit for it.

The silk was good quality, but the cut was terrible. Ordered a yard, but the usable amount was 2 inches short. Cut was totally crooked. If I had needed exactly a yard, I would have been in trouble.

I have become a substantial fan of iridescent dupioni, and this purple-with-blue color is deep and lustrous and wonderful, one of my favorites across multiple vendors.

Bittersweet is not Gold!! It is PUMPKIN!! See photo - true bright gold on top and this Bittersweet Dupioni is large piece on the bottom. The silk is beautiful and a nice weight. Very nice. Just not Gold!!

This is absolutely lovely, and has it's own unique hand-- but I wish it had come with some care instructions. (I've noticed that none of the fabrics I've gotten on the internet have come w/care instructions!) Since this is my first foray into the world of sewing w/ silk. It would be nice if those dealers that sold it offered a booklet of sewing guides! Anyhow--once I get past all the little ins and outs of shrinking, waterproofing, and pressing ( not to mention cutting!) this should make up a really lovely wedding dress for my daughter!

This is not soft because it's duponi! Please read about silk before you invest in it, and leave a bad review. This material is very high quality silk duponi! It's lightweight, but not sheer. I'm using this material all over my house from this seller for curtains, and it lets so much natural light in, but at the same time it's completely private. I bought $300 in the gold color!

The color is gorgeous. This is a medium hand, a bit heavier than other dupioni fabrics. Depending what you're making, it could be a bit too heavy but it's perfect for what I wanted. And the price and fast shipping are fantastic!
