Lasted 13 years.
The unit itself still works but the toggle switches are starting to spring. This can happen over time. I've had some high end gear that needed repair before this thing & i didn't use those every single day for 13 years straight. 2009 it says is when i bought it & i just started having issues. That said this is a great rack piece. Lasted 13 years no issues then a couple toggle switches sprang. Which can happen over time the switch will come out or slide sideways. It's still electrically sound. I could fix it, but I'll get a new one & support a great company instead. Its $40 & from what I've seen built just as well as the batch this one came from. Get one don't even think about it. I have a few power racks in my two studios. This is a great rack that does a simple but important job, My Furmans are great but i like that i can control each piece of equipment with a toggle switch for gear that i use most frequently. Since i know the source is already clean i don't have to worry just flip the switch & go. I'm not gonna show photos of the bugged out switches it doesn't represent this piece of equipment again it lasted for 13 years and cost $40 it did its job, now it's time to buy a new one. Here's a photo from an project studio (2010) when it was working like it did everyday :)

Great product!!!
If you are looking for a power conditioner that allows you to turn the separate power plugs on and off from the front, then look no further. This is a very straightforward device - plug stuff in the back and turn it on and off from the front.I use mine in my home recording studio. I have several outboard devices - monitors, hard drives, keyboards, etc. that I don't necessarily need on every time I go up to do work. This allows me to save money by only powering up the devices I actually have to use. It also puts all the on and off switches in one centralized location. The unit is neither pretty nor ugly, and it works like a charm. In the few weeks I've been using it I have had no problems whatsoever. Just make sure to put labels on the front so that you know what each one does. For the price, it's a great unit!If I have any issues in the future I will update my review.

Great price, best for low impact use
I use this power strip in my home studio. The device is plugged into the main power distribution unit, so the illuminated toggle switches stay on or off depending if that channel has any device on it. The switches make a nice, tactile click when turning on/off. The switches feel like they are mid tier. Not at risk of falling to pieces, and if used in one location and left to work, will last a long time. I have not had any issues with infrequent toggling. The plugs on the back are spaced nicely to accommodate some wall wart power plugs. I have not powered enough items to really break in the plugs, so I cant comment on their durability. I have not had any problems with any channel during use. I installed the power strip in a road case for added protection and ease of portability. In his way, it takes up 1U space on a standard rack, and is only a few inches deep. The fuse can be replaced from the face of the unit. This power strip seems best used live for small events, or 'set it and forget it' setups. I would not consider this pro grade, and would not want to rely on it for constant use in a touring capacity or in a situation where the switches will be toggled several times with each use.Overall, this product is recommended for the above average user. Power/professional users use may seek a more road worthy power strip.

Exceptional product for the home and office
I am an extremely happy owner of two of these units. The first one went in with my home entertainment system, fitting perfectly right on top of the dvd player. The second I used in my home office to control power to my computer, monitor, printer, router, etc. Rarely, if ever, do I need to have all of these components energized at once, and now I don't have to. The ability to power on only the components that I want to use will put a dent in my electric bill, while the convenience of having all the switches right up front coupled with the aesthetics of hiding all the cords in the back is probably worth the price alone. The fact that over time each unit will pay for itself was a major factor in deciding to buy them, but now seems like a bonus. The only thing I can compare this to is a standard power strip, as that is what it replaces, but there is no competition- the only analogy I can think of is going from a bicycle to a BMW. In my home office I had to use two regular power strips to accommodate all of the components, with the strips and all the cords jumbled on the floor behind my desk- a real mess. Now, with just one of these power centers handling all the loads, I've hidden all the cords up and out of sight, nearly invisible now. The switches are individually numbered and easily accessible: I get big-time electrical savings coupled with extreme convenience. The dimensions of the unit make it easy to find space for it. While the max width is 19", the actual width of the unit is only 17", just like any standard dvd player, cable box, etc. The extra inch on each side is for the rack mounts, but those are very thin and can just lay in front if you have a space not quite wide enough to hold them. At only 1.75" tall and 4" deep, it doesn't require much space and leaves you room in the back for the various cords to plug into it.I cannot think of anything but good things to say about this product. If I needed another for any reason I would buy it in a heartbeat.

Used this brand for 30 years
I have used this ANDJ strip for 3 years in my studio and used the same model in the 90s for stage lights and fog machines. Never failed me and I trust the protection for my equipment during a power surge.
