This is a 2-person model I bought after a few nights with the "original" 1-person model on a trip. That other one was so light and slick it kept sailing off the bed. With this new one, with the fuzzy side down, I do not have that problem at all. It stays in place and feels cozy all night. I kept looking for the cape fasteners, but after re-reading the description found out that ONLY THE SINGLE models have cape clips. Darn. Also, I do wish the 2-person Sherpas came in the beautiful bright colors and designs. Mine is plain navy, but I like it a lot anyway. (I'm keeping both of them, but will use the original more for the cape clip than on the bed. Sherpa is strictly for the bed when we travel.) The Sherpa is nice and fairly light. The fleece adds a little bulk, not much, but it has a carry strap instead of a stuff bag.

I bought this blanket for my fiancé who loves Rumpl products and had The Sherpa on his birthday wishlist. As soon as he took it out of the box we noticed loose stitching all over the blue side. For a $150 blanket this wasn’t acceptable so we initiated an exchange hoping it was a fluke. Spoiler alert: it was not a fluke. The second one had identical defects. So now I have to return two blankets and will be going directly to Rumpl’s site to purchase a third, which will hopefully be well constructed. Stay away from these blankets on Amazon.
