Coral Buildings Of Suakin: Islamic Architecture, Planning, Design and Domestic Arrangements in a Red Sea Port

This book has a lot of wonderful and informative drawings but it wasn't written by a scholar but an artist so not sure how much I can trust the information given therein tbh. The drawn observations are certainly accurate but how much of it was imagined I wonder? The place is falling apart, and was when this book was made. Were these buildings all still standing back then, or half collapsed?
