Ltd Genuine Bowlsaver Original Complete System with Two Blades for Coring Bowl Blanks 3" to 12" on Woodturning Lathe BSVR

The media could not be loaded. Oh I love my bowl saver! Number one, I get 2 to 3 bowls out of one piece of wood. Number two it’s a timesaver because I’m not pouring so much wood out of a 14 inch bowl, and number three there is so much less waste. And number four, the inner bowls are cut perfectly on the outside! I would highly recommend this coring system! One thing did happen. When I received my bowlsaver at first, The black coating that is put on the top plate went into the main threads to the screws. The screws wouldn’t go in. Their customer service was very timely. I love making bowls but I not a tool guy so I had to go to my local hardware store and get a tap (about $5) to “retap” the threads, basically redrilling. In the end it wasn’t very hard to do. Just a bit nerve racking that I’d do it wrong. Once retapped, I started using the bowlsaver. Watch the instruction video and you’ll be fine. I love it!!! I even used it on a live edge bowl to make three live edge bowls!

It does exactly what the videos show. I should be able to make my money back with the extra bowls and bowl sets in short order. Not easily sharpened

This is a very well made tool that should last a long, long time. Communication with both Jennifer and Dan have been just awesome. Fast responses to some emails and ready to help with anything (questions or issues) about their tool. I have cored several bowls now for nested sets and I am very pleased with this purchase. Cant wait to add the Light Guide for faster set-up time. Makes me wish I had a larger lathe so I could cut larger bowls, I only have a Ricon 12 1/2" swing 1 hp Midi and on its lowest speed (highest torque) belt setting it handled the Bowlsaver cuts just fine, just keep the blades sharp and don't force it too hard. It's way faster and less wasteful than just hollowing bowls.

Not able to use it, I received no Tool Post base with it. I received the package in record time and have it together, it looks sturdy enough but not able to use it. I understood the E-Mail to say ready to use! All parts should have been there.

This tool has payed for itself many times over. Out of the three main bowl coring products on the market this one is by far the best. It’s simple to set up and way faster than the others. This is great for beginners or someone who turns hundreds of bowls. The people complaining about instructions are the same people that leave a full tank of gas in the lawnmower over the winter then wonder why it doesn’t start when it’s time to mow. Learn to use your tool!!!!

I bought this product about a month ago. I'm not and expert yet but have great success with this bowl saver. Now I have bowl blanks laying around instead of shavings. I use it consistently with very hard woods and I am very happy. With some practice you can literally make a 4 or 5 bowl set. I would buy it again in a heart beat. I might also add their customer service sales and support is excellent.
