After visiting home depot and being disappointed with their selection, I went onto amazon to find the right piece to fix a leaky faucet hot water handle. The piece looked similar to the one that came out of my handle, so I took a shot and ordered it. It fit perfectly and saved me from buying a whole new faucet. No leaks ever since the replacement.

It worked as described.

The product itself is fine...although it seemed to disassemble itself in transit. What you need to know is that it comes complete with gray cap that matches up to the handle, along with the screw and brass nut. The item description is misleading as it says " cartridge only" which makes one think that you need to purchase ($6) the gray cap (they list it as black) seperately. Other than that being said the product is perfect. No more drips!

The cold water side of my American Standard Colony bathroom faucet had started rapidly dripping. The main "home improvement" stores did not have replacement parts, so off to Amazon I went and discovered this listing.Ordered - arrived a day earlyYou get the cartridge valve, the brass valve nut, the glass-passivated plastic handle adapter, and both the screw and the plastic pin (depending what faucet you have is what part you use). Direct plug and play. The only advice I have for someone doing the install is to spray penetrating oil at every stage and let it sit for a minute to make removal of parts easier (this was the original parts in my faucet and I installed it nine years old and things seized through light electrolysis).Would buy again if needed.

Product worked great and showed up quickly. I'd say the trickiest part was identifying this was the same one that I needed. The picture from the front is slightly deceiving if you're not also looking at your current cartridge from the exact front. Those grooves looked different at first until I realized they were in fact the openings on each side.Anyway, you'll likely want a pair of channel lock pliers and regular pliers, the former to remove the large collar nut and the latter to pull out each cartridge, which I'd guess are crusty with minerals and buildup like mine were. In fact, while trying to remove the old collar nuts, they simply broke off/apart. Which was no problem because this product came with fancy new ones.Last word of advice: grab a small amount of silicone grease and use your finger to lube up the inside housing where you're putting in the new cartridges. It was way easier to push them in and get them far enough to tighten down with the collar nut.If you want these right away, you can likely find them at your local hardware store for the same price. However shipping was next day for me and I'm lazy.

This is a very good kit. One of the stops ony carry broke and also the plastic stops that gets screwed on the cartridge. Lowes was the only store that had the cartridge but not the plastic stop. This kit has the cartridge, the plastic stop and the nut that pushes the cartridge so you get a good seal. I found that a new nut was essential because the old one had some stripped threads and would not hold the cartridge deep enough. So you get pretty much all you might need in one package. Saves you the hassle of chasing each part in specialty stores.

can be used for hot or cold. buy extras, the hot cartridge on these sinks wears out every couple years.

If your faucet is American Standard and if you open the knob and see under the distinctive Avocado Green plastic thing with a brass nut, then this is the right model for you.It was exactly same as mine and I just went by the distinctive Green cap.

The package contained everything I needed: a cartridge, a nut, a screw, and a plastic adapter. It took three minutes to install everything.
