The other reviews seem confused - this is in fact faux leather lace, and is not leather. It looks basically like any other finished leather lace, and has good tensile strength which is what I care about.

I should have payed more attention when I was buying this…I didn’t realize it was flat. I got it to work, but it was a lot harder than any leather lace I’ve worked with before. This one curls like ribbon and kind of has a mind of its own.

Great value, I was a bit hesitant on making this purchase due to the reviews, so i thought I'll give it a shot, made the order, package received...This is a pretty good product and at a great price, I will be making another order soon. I know this product will work on my leather projects just perfectly.

The advantage of the lace is that you get a lot for a small price. However, the lace is not supple like leather like I had hoped it would be. I wanted to use it for hair on a child's rocking horse, but it was too stiff.

If you are looking for replacement lacing for your leather kits this is NOT the right stuff. You are looking for calf lacing I learned the hard way. Not same material and it is a little bit thicker. But it is good for what it is.

This lace was flatter and more synthetic in feel and slippery than I was anticipating. It accommodated our project fine, but it was a little hard for the kids (3rd graders) to work with. The merchant, however, gets full marks for quick, solid service. Thanks.

Not leather...plastic...will find another use for it
