Great diving computer!
This was mi first diving computer and it's so easy to read and change settings, etc. I constantly see people struggling with their diving computers, but not anyone with this one. Highly recommend it!

Perfectly Fit for Purpose - Very Good Dive Computer
Very nice dive computer that interfaces with your iPhone quite well. Its very easy to set up on with the phone connection which can sync setting quickly and from a nice GUI, rather than scrolling through the various menus. The watch is large and easy to read. 6 dives done, all synched with the app quickly without issue, the software is very good for logging dives as it's all automatic.

Originally would not pair with its DiverLog+ App (Updated Review)
The Dive Computer Oceanic GEO 4.0 as a Dive Computer works great, and is easy to use. Part of my purchase decision surrounded the Bluetooth ability to sync dives with a log. However, neither the DiverLog+ Version 1.1.16 or its previous version will complete the pairing process. I have contacted both Oceanic Customer Service and the DiverLog App Technical and Customer Service. All agree the problem is with the app, and they are sorry it does not work. They hope my problem will go away. If I ignore that the app doesn't work, I am happy with the Dive Computer. Since buying last month, I have used it on 5 dives including two with Nitrox and underwater it works flawlessly and is very easy to use and read: even in an underwater cavern and lava tube.Update (post initial review): Yesterday, I downloaded the MacDive App, and when it first tried to pair my iPhone with my Oceanic GEO 4.0, the new app gave me a standard Apple error code indicating that my iPhone had two Bluetooth devices with the same identifications. I checked and sure enough one too many devices identified as FS006610 (my dive computer serial number is 006610). I deleted both and tried the pairing process with the MacDive once more, and it worked; and all the dive information for each of my dives including information I did not know was on the dive computer all transferred into my phone with a back-up on the cloud. I highly recommend if you have an iPhone with the Oceanic Geo 4 that you get the MacDive app (just under $10 from the Apple App Store). Now for the rest of the story: just for the fun of it, I tried one more time to pair my GEO 4.0 to the DiverLog+ App. This time it worked, exactly as advertised by both Oceanic and DiverLog+. I don’t know why DiverLog App Tech Svc (Pelagic Pressure Systems) did not suggest I check to see if my dive computer was already listed more than once in my iPhone Bluetooth paired devices, nor why the app did not have any install warnings but only an endless loop of trying. So had to update the review to say now everything works as promised, it was just I needed a different app (purchased) to make the free app work. By the way, the free DiverLog+ App lets me change the Oceanic GEO 4.0 settings via my iPhone; however, the log is rather clunky and does not take advantage of the iPhone GPS device to automatically identify my dive site locations. The MacDive app won’t make setting changes to my Oceanic GEO 4.0, but it records and backs-up the dive log information with very informative graphics including GPS coordinates for the dive site. So, I recommend that you use both apps with the dive computer. Last of all: the Oceanic GEO 4.0 works fine as a standalone dive computer without any apps, the information you need to help a diver dive safer, especially with multiple dives over repetitive days is all there within the different screens on the dive computer. I should give the GEO 4.0 a five star review; however as Oceanic markets it with the DiverLog app I can’t go higher than four stars. (Five stars for the computer, two stars for the free app).

Oceanic computers are consistently the worse in robustness
I have had a Oceanic Geo 2.0 for about 10 years; compared to my other dive computer, it is consistently the worse performing product - it is either the battery or the strap which needs replacement. The interface to change the Nitrox percentages and even to get the divelog out is non-intuitive compared to others, the characters are smaller which can be a challenge if one is far sighted, and the lack of a hard protective cover for the LCD display means that it is getting banged up. I'll stick to my Suunto going forward - it is a superior product if clunkier to look at.

They do not back their own product.
Bought mine at a year ago but six months or so ago I started having issues with it keeping correct time.took it into a dive store in GA and was told I needed to send it direct. so contacted them after the Kentucky flash floods for help and now at a year cant get it fixed. I do rescue dives and dealing with this isn't on my list of want to do's. customer service sucks. I suggest going with a different brand.
