Having had one of these as a kid, I loved both its usefulness in learning geography as well as using it for beach games. I bought it for my 4.5 year old and she was instantly curious to find our city as well as ask about other countries. It also helps her coordination when we play catch. It was difficult to blow up via mouth and I resorted to a small ball pump that I have, which worked better. I would recommend it, great quality, clear writing and awesome fun.

Beautiful Blow-Up World Globe. I bought one for each pod of students in my Classroom. I also bought a super-large one to teach with in front of the classroom. I also bought very small 10-inch blowup globes. One for each of my students. We learned about Hemispheres , Northern/Southern and Eastern/Western. We guessed “How far do you think that it is between Little Rock, Arkansas and Brisbane, Australia? We played The Higher/Lower Game. We could later learn about the Continent's, List the Countries on a particular Latitude Longitude! Many many more ideas!

If I could give zero stars I would. Arrived and didn't inflate until I needed for class - the ball had a hole in it from the get go and I tried to patch with some tape but still won't hold air. Also, the ball is not round. It's as if someone took a ball and squished it down. Definitely not worth the money no matter how cheap.

It's nice for a blow-up ball. I got it for a grand-nephew named Atlas because in Greek mythology it was Atlas who held up the world. And I did get a picture of our Atlas holding up the world. But I don't think it would last very long in actual playtime.

We got this to teach my 5 year old at the time about moving overseas to Japan and how the distance between where we were and where we were going was. It was very helpful and a fun little toy to play with in the summer :)

The 3 stars rating is because the globe is actually slight less than 12 inches in diameter (as shown in the advertising images). However, under Product Details->Product Specifications->Measurements, it states that the globe is 22 inches in diameter. Otherwise, it is adequate with enough detail for Home use.

This is a good for learning and play. We use this as my 5 year old is learning the continents and singing the continents song. Sometimes we throw it back and forth as we say the continents, or we hit it back and forth as they are said. If he misses, and it falls to the floor, he points them out on the globe or sings the continents song. My 2 year old is hearing this and getting immersed for when he is old enough to learn them later. It is worth the it.

I need a quick, easy and durable teaching aid while on my sailboat. This is a perfect solution! Its big enough with enough detail to be useful, while being compact when I need to stow it away. I wish I would have thought of this sooner!
