Guess black and decker is still a great name and product. This zapper is like a bug killing machine gets rid of all kinds of bugs, moths, mosquitoes etc. I live in country and have to clean it like 2 times a day just to keep it from clogging up with dead bugs.

I purchased this to use primarily indoors due to the increasing amount of gnats and mosquitoes coming in at night when I come home. They are coming through the garage which is not properly sealed. I couldn't see any bugs after the first night but within a week there were dozens and my home no longer needs it every night. I now keep it in the garage and turn on when I notice bugs (since that's how they're getting in). It's fairly small but seems quite effective.

Everyone knows that flies spread disease. Who knows where those gross little bugs have been when they land on your food? After nagging my husband for weeks to take care of the flies on our porch he finally got a bug zapper and of course it worked immediately. See how much simpler life is when you listen to your wife, honey?

No more spray, efective, Now I can walk with more confidence in my yard and forget about the annoying mosquitoes. It has a good size and I have confidence in this brand.

This thing is a great example of "designed to be completely useless." The cord (it is corded) is 1. Very, very short 2. Very, very stiff 3. Very heavy relative to the device 4. Located at the very top of the device. This means if you set it on a table, the weight of the cord will knock it over and usually right onto the ground near where the level of the outlet is. This will likely lead to the device breaking. To make this work at all and not immediately end up with a broken bug zapper, you need to hang it on a hook with a long extension cord or have it on the ground where knocking itself over every time it is slightly nudged will not necessarily break it.This is a great product for Amazon sale because they can photoshop the image. If you saw and handled the device in person, you would wonder if the person who designed it didn't end up getting paid for their work (because it is that terrible in case you did not read the preceeding paragraph) or created it out of spite due to a long-standing hatred for the Black + Decker company.

Bug zappers are by no means a magic bullet against annoying bugs like mosquitoes, but they do help a lot.I had a serious mosquito problem in my house, they were eating me, and my dog, alive. I was spending way too much money on repellents that smelled unpleasant and/or were also toxic to mammals, that I couldn't really use in my bedroom.After about 2 nights in the bedroom, the mosquito population in that room was nearly gone, over the next couple weeks I moved it about the house every couple days, leaving as much of the house dark as I could as long as I could, took the mosquito population in my house down to occasional stragglers instead of swarms.

My husband and I are very happy with this purchase. Everyday we empty it out and are always amazed at how many bugs have been captured. Zero noise level. This really works!

My daughter had a June wedding this year but of course it's peak mosquitoe season here. All the same she wanted so have the wedding outdoors so I got a few of these zappers, put one around each table, and the guests were happy and undisturbed. It was a great wedding and no bug bites!
