Not an INSTANT READ thermometer!
This product will eventually give you the temp of your food, but BEWARE! If you are using this to test cakes, be prepared for it to take several minutes to give you that final temperature, meanwhile your oven is drastically cooling while you have the door open. This item is not intended to be left in the oven during baking. I do not recommend this product for it's advertised purpose.

Won't be replacing it... sent it back, received refund promptly.Updated review:To my surprise, the seller sent a replacement even after refunding my payment.I've been using it now for a few weeks and am very happy with it.The thermometer is wonderful, as is their customer service!

Stylish and Accurate
I love the design of this thermometer. It's very easy to use and comes with a very handy guide with various types of meats and what each one recommends for optimal cooking temperature for rare, medium, well done and ground. I love the digital read out so there's no guess work. You can even set it for Celsius for Fahrenheit. The stainless steel probe is long enough so I know I'm getting an accurate reading every time. It has definitely made a huge difference in my roasting times, now I know when it's done to perfection. I would highly recommend this product!

I really like the speed with which the thermometer works
I really like the speed with which the thermometer works, It registers the temp with in seconds. I use it for both baking and for roasting meat. It's easy to clean, and has a self storage case. The numbers are large and easy to read. It's exactly what I was looking for.

Good for keeping temperature when cheese making.
Does what it needs to do.I bought this for cheese making and it seems to keep an accurate reading in comparison to my other thermometers. No complaints so far.

Sturdy and Reliable
Every meat thermometer I've bought in the past either stops working after a short while or doesn't work right to begin with. But, this thermometer consistently works and gives me a temp quickly. It's sturdy and just seems well-made. Definitely recommend!

I like that I can read the face by just looking ...
I like that I can read the face by just looking down at the thermometer instead of pushing it to the side to be able to see it.
