Allergy and Asthma Made Ridiculously Simple (Made Ridiculously Simple: Rapid Learning and Retention Through the Medmaster)

Dr. Mahmoudi does a great job going over the clinically relevant topics in allergy and asthma. He gives a brief explanation of each disease, the differential, the relevant history and physical presentation, diagnostic testing and treatments. It is very clear and concise. It is a great resource for any primary care provider looking to brush up on this topic, residents, med students on clinical rotations or NPs and PAs practicing primary care. All of the diseases he goes over are common and to be seen in any primary care practice. At the end he gives a clear guide on how to prepare and administer allergic immunotherapy.

This is an extremely well written book that explains atopy on an in-depth level, yet still very easy to follow. Perfect for medical students, healthcare professionals, and doctors who would like a thorough review of the topic- and perhaps even learn some new things from the book. My favorite features are the summary tables and cartoon drawings as they really help with memory recall.

Speaking as a medical student, this book was recommended to me when I was doing a rotation in allergy/immunology. The book was easy to read, and covers all the important concepts needed for a working understanding of the common conditions seen in an allergist's clinic. Would recommend for other medical students who are interested in learning more about the field of allergy/immunology, or for those who are studying for medicine shelf exams or the USMLE step 2.

It wasn't really allergy AND asthma. It was really just allergy with a bit of chatter about asthma given the associations. Unfortunately, I was working on an asthma project.
