Plarail - THOMAS & FRIENDS: TS-09 Plarail Diesel 10 (Model Train)

My 4 y/o boy is a Thomas fanatic and has been asking for Diesel 10 for a while. He is very sturdy and strong, can pull a lot of freight cars with ease! He is also fast which is a plus. He takes a "C" battery which we werent used to but had on hand at home. The directions were not in English on how to insert the battery, but were pretty self explanatory to figure out.

Genuinely surprised this particular model is still being produced considering Thomas and the Magic Railroad came out 20 years ago now. But regardless still a high quality model and SO much better than the models available here in the US. Tomy knows how to make model trains. It is a little hard to get to the battery compartment but just like most other Thomas models, just squeeze by the tabs and pull up. Note: it says that a C battery is needed however it is more of a counter weight since the motor is heavy. However a regular AA battery will do the job perfectly.

This train is a heavier but more durable than most track master trains. It DOES take a C battery unlike most that take AAA. Directions are NOT in English nor any writing on the box but not a problem once you open up the train itself you will realize it takes one single “C “battery. A very Satisfied customer.

This toy is rare toy to find in stores and seems to only be found online. The toy is durable and really unique and kids love it.

I'm sure we all remember when Thomas and the Magic railroad came out, Diesel 10 was by far the most evil and nastiest villains ever to appear on the show. Well Plarail has made a great representation of the character. Diesel 10 I decided to get because I noticed he came with two gold troublesome trucks whereas the U.S. Release gave him two grey troublesome trucks. The two models look alike in almost every way. One thing I do have to say is that I wish the claw could move up and down and side to side like the talking one with Splatter and Dodge. This item has now been discontinued. Other than that, Diesel 10 looks and runs nice and fast along my layout and I highly recommend this to all Thomas and train lovers out there!

It’s not a design we’ve seen before and we absolutely love it! This particular model can accommodate AA battery and a C battery. Parts were in great quality and we felt confident in its build. It was a neat thing that this train came in Japanese packaging. We would definitely purchase again.
