Nobody makes them like Tomy. The USA Thomas track masters do not hold a candle to these. They also function well on wooden tracks.If you are into this size or type of model train for yourself or children, its best to order these from Japan and wait a month than to buy the American lower quality ones.Where the Japanese one and American ones do get along is that the cars can connect to each other.For example, Annie and Claribel from the 10.00 USA Thomas Track Master train stay on wooden tracks as well as the Japanese engine and can be joined together.

I purchased this for my seven-year-old son who loves trains. This was very affordable, and we were pleased with how quickly it arrived. He loves the moving pistons and sounds, which sound very realistic. We were however, disappointed that it didn't have steam.

Beautiful train to the last detail but the battery does not stay in position inside the train as a result it stops running.It needs support under the battery to keep it in contact with the battery terminals.

My 4 year-old loves this. Works with the trackmaster Thomas track. Light is under-powered, but it would be a great toy even without that. Shipping took a while. Need to think well in advance if purchasing as a gift.

Lousy toy

My 8 year old, who LOVES trains, asked Santa for this Tomica. I ordered it and later noticed delivery would be after the New Year. I asked the seller if there was any way of getting it sooner. They reassured me they would get it to me on time at no extra charge. Since it was coming from Japan, I was elated with their accommodation. It's good to know the magic of Christmas still exists. My son loves loves the train!!!!

Very good train. The light is cool, albeit not so bright. Sounds might have been nice, but the sculpt and quality are good.

This little Loco looks good, even has a little (very dim) light in the front, however it is extremely slow, with carriages attached it can barely make it up a small incline. I realise it is a steam train but they were never this slow!The design is good, it is a super little train except for the speed.

It was a Christmas present for my grandson who is mad about trains.

My two kids are Thomas fans and also like this kind of train set. But it was made of plastic and didn't worth the money I paid for.

Bello! ci ha messo un po' ad arrivare, ma è proprio bellino. Abbiamo stampato degli adesivi e l'abbiamo trasformato nel mitico Galaxy Express 999, per la gioia del mio bimbo di 4 anni.
