Since placing these on the side of my sofa, my girls seem to go for something else instead :) but I have noticed they do try to get the pins out due to being curious,so please be aware of this with your fur babies.Very easy to place on the sofa with the pins provided and thick enough like a scratch post.Very pleased with this item,will order again in the future.

Amazing finds. Wrapped around cat tree posts and looks as good as new. Wish I had found these sooner as I would have bought these years ago instead of new investing in several new cat trees.

We bought these in desperation as our cat was scratching up the fabric sofa (he's done so for years but is now mostly an indoor cat so his claws get longer between cuts!) We were a bit dubious that the pads would stay in place, but the spiral fasteners provided are brilliant; you just twist them through the scratch pad and into the "stuffing" below the sofa fabric, and they really stay put despite the most vigorous scratching. We were also - of course - certain that our cat would decide to scratch everywhere *except* where we attached the pads, but he actually figured out pretty quickly that if he scratched elsewhere he got shouted at whereas if he scratched them he got treats ;-) In fact, his latest trick is to scratch the pad when we're sitting on the sofa and then look up at us expectantly for his reward (three times in ten minutes yesterday!) Very happy though, as this both saves the sofa *and* helps keep his claws a bit shorter.I'm not sure how well the fasteners would work with other materials or constructions. For example, our cat scratches up the back corner of the sofa too, but that only has a layer of fabric stretched over wood with an air gap in some places, so I don't think it would work very well. But they definitely do a great job for the front and we may try another set on the back just to see :)

Good product, let down by the pins for attaching it. Pins are not sharp, break easily and come loose easily.

Easy to apply - could have done with them each being about an inch longer to cover the full step. The pins stay in very well even with heavy footfall

Used them to wrap around two sofa corners, which worked well as the mats are soft and cover well the areas our big cat had previously torn to shreds. Our kitten happily uses the mats. Did not use the pins (read the reviews in advance) but extra strong double sided tape. Works well. As they are used by sharp kitten claws they are now fraying a lot, but stronger mats are too rigid to fit corners (I tried). All in all it does the job, but durability depends on the use.
