Such a nice decor piece - some even ask me if the fish are real!
This item looks better in person than I expected it to. Had been wanting a Mist maker for a few years but this is the first one I came across with such a nice pedestal, others I had looked at generally had three metal bars as a pedestal, which lacked aesthetics in my opinion. The pedestal on this one is so nice with the faux fish aquarium, that it actually outshines the mist maker itself. My roommate and I think the fish look relatively real for tropical fish, which are often brightly colored like these. It even sounds like a fish aquarium with all the bubbling water. I priced this item online and this is the best price by approximately twenty dollars.I like to put Eucalyptus essential oil in it which puts out a nice scent in the room it's in.

Got this for Christmas. Haven't been able to use very much because the power cord gets hot. Went to refill it today and the power cord snapped in half.

Breaks down very easily
It's a beautiful lamp and my cats loved the fishes in the stand, but it broke after only a month or two of using it. I'd recommend not wasting your money.

Instructions Can be Found Here
If you are buying this product for fine workmanship or quality, then move on. If you are buying it for it's fun and ambiance, you will love it! We bought this for our newly remodeled beach theme family room and it really adds a nice calming quality to the room with the bubbles and rotating LED lights. My biggest hurdles to overcome initially when receiving the package were that the quality is not very good and the instructions were almost incoherent. With that out of the way, here is my version of the assembly instructions for any future poor soul who gets confused trying to put these thing together. To those smarty pants who get it right out the box, great for you!1) Take black base out of the box and pull out the black chords tucked inside it from the outside. You will need these to plug in to your power supply and transducer later on.2) Pull the plastic tubing out of the base and attach it to the bottom of the plastic tank (if you don't the air bubbles will not work later).3) Push the plastic tank into the base then fill it with distilled water (a little under a gallon works just fine)4) Take your fish out of the packaging and put them in the tank.5) Next, take the clear plastic cup and place it over the top of the tank (it only fits one way).6) Now, place the blue glass humidifier dish on top of the plastic cup.7) Take the transducer (that shiny metallic piece with lights on it) and push the cord through the hole in the humidifier dish until the rubber grommet fills the hole completely. The rest of the cord comes out a notch in the plastic cup below so that it can connect to the power supply.8) Take the two plastic rings and three plastic stick pieces out and assemble them. This is the base for your splash guard. Simply put the sticks into the rings and you will see it is not a very sturdy design.9) Tuck the metal transducer/light piece in sideways between the stick pieces so it sits on the bottom ring. Set the splash guard base and transducer down in the center of the humidifier dish.10) Fill the humidifier dish with distilled water (about a quart). You don't want to overfill as the dish is not very secure on top of the tank.11) Plug the transducer chord into it's opposite in the power supply. Do the same with the other chord hanging out of the base (this is for the air pump and lights in the base).12) Plug in the power supply (there is no on off switch so you may want to invest in a wall timer so you don't have to always plug and unplug)13) Adjust the bubbles with the small black knob on the base. If you tighten it, the bubbles will decrease and eventually stop. If you loosen it the bubbles will increase. You will want it on this setting initially since it gets the fish to start sinking and swimming around. The final step is to enjoy it!SUMMARY:Pros: Fun! Adds Ambiance and great for beach themed rooms!Cons: Cheaply made, easy to knock over if you have small kids or pets and....poor instructions.Photos: Attached!

This lamp is designed for two different purposes. The first purpose is to have the bubbles and air pump to make the fish move around. This part of the lamp is very efficient! The top bowl which makes the humidifier missed is very creative as well. I like how it uses both parts to have two different purposes. The negative thing about using this lamp is that the top bowl can get the AC power cord very warm if left on for a long period of time. I didn't know the top bowl can make the whole cord get very warm. You can use both parts, but you just use the fish and the bubbles the AC cord will not get too hot. I would just be careful to watch if you are using the top bowl as the misting humidifier so the actual AC cord does not get too hot. It could catch fire if both parts are on especially the top bowl. Very good product overall though!

Silent (solution)
Beautiful. Simply solution for the noise- the motor isn't attached the base so inside when turned on it rattles against the side. Before putting the column on the base, put something soft like a sock (or in my case a few folded napkins) in between the motor and the wall of the base. And walla! Silent! It's really something. I love it.

Do not recommend.
Bought two of these in June 2015. One stopped working completely in October 2015, the other in January 2016. Do not recommend.

I just love misters!
I really love fountain misters as they add great ambiance to any home. I was on the fence with this one because of all the reviews but glad I took a chance. I have two others but none like this. I love the fish tank! It's super easy to put together and the humming sound from the motor really doesn't bother me that much. Now about those fish?... give it some time as the instructions say they will eventually float throughout the tank. However, I actually had to buy more because a few stayed at the top. I'm using distilled water as instructed and thus far everything is running smoothly. Over all I really like it and I get a lot of complements.
