Pretty much all mobiles seem to have the exact same mounting pieces - the white plastic part that sits on top of the crib edge and a large screw that goes in between 2 of the crib rails. You twist a large piece onto the screw on the outside of the crib rails and that holds it tightly secured to the crib. However, this one for some reason was designed without a crucial inner piece that goes on the screw - this missing piece goes against the inside of the crib rails so you have the outer & inner pieces tightly secured against the both sides of the crib rails. Without this inner piece you can't mount it to cribs that have any sort of lip on the top. It can only work if your crib rails are completely flush with the top, otherwise it tips forward. We have a lip of about 3/4" so it tips forward a super noticeable amount and isn't secure/safe to have hanging over an infant. We literally just donated our son's mobile a few days ago, otherwise we could have just taken that piece off of his and used it here. I will have to see if my husband can find some safe alternative for the 3/4" gap that needs to be filled between the inner crib rail and the large part of the mount, otherwise we'll need to return the whole thing.

This came on time and the packaging was nice but thats about the only easy part of the process. This thing is horrendous to assemble 😩 the instructions are vague and some dont work the way they say it should. The pieces do not “snap” together easily and dont seem to be sized correctly like the holes and the hooks for the hanging part of the mobile it took forever to assemble the final pieces. And the characters that hang from the mobile really should be put on last because its so awkward fitting the hook into the hole at the end..it should be cheaper honestly because of the hassle to assemble. I finally got it all assembled and turned on the music and its a little out of tune..like someone first learning to play the piano and they hit the key a little late, i just had to laugh after all the work it took to hear an out of tune lullaby. I dont think my son will notice though. I would buy this is if like me you didnt want to spend $60 + on a mobile that the baby wont even play with and if you dont mind the hassle of assembly.

Love it! I thought the foxes and flowers were so adorable and perfect for our daughters crib. The only "off" thing about these mobiles is that the ring and hook will AT FIRST seem to not fit. I handed it to my fiance who then somehow got it to hook perfectly without any issues. So dont give up if you run into that problem.The music and motion both work great, would buy again!

this is made very well ..feels very sturdy on my crib. The music is perfect and the whales and narwhals are made so perfectly, they are so cute. Only thing I wish they would improve, is to set the hanging portion further out from the stand as the narwhals get caught against the stand when it spins and they go by.

I bought this mobile to match my baby's bedding but was disappointed upon opening it. The whales and boats were SO cute, and would have matched perfectly, but that's about all.-The musical part of the mobile sounded like it was busted. There was kind of a scratchy sound when it was playing.-In the picture of the mobile there's anchor fabric that covers the plastic and looks super cute. This was NOT included with my mobile.-The kicker: It didn't fit my crib. I have a sleigh crib and the support assembly wasn't long enough to attach the mounting bracket to it, it came down about halfway. See my picture. I didn't have a tape measurer handy so I didn't get the exact measurements but this may work for you if you have skinny crib rails. I'll update when/if I remember to measure the sides.

I didn't have any problems assembling it, but I do have three main complaints:1) Either the music piece or the spinning piece makes a horrible grinding noise pretty much constantly which I think leads to:2) Sometimes, fully wound, it just stops, perhaps because of the friction produced from point one. But a lot of times, hours later, it starts up again. My twins can sleep through anything, but man, talk about spooky, music boxes just starting up in the middle of the night. I know, I watch too many horror movies.3) The way the part that spins connects to the spinning mechanism, it's possible (and actually pretty likely) that the spinning hook will get a few rotations around before the plush part catches up, which makes the plush part jolt into action and spin a few times really fast.My kids don't have any issue with it, but for the amount of money I paid, I expected something with a bit more quality.

It is like the Picture..Simple, delicate, and my baby enjoyed the music and movement.However, it was broken in the second day of use and I am going to return it.

We just bought this mobile and assembled it, and after two uses it already stopped working. I was able to take apart the music box piece and put it back together and it seems to being working again. However, I’m not sure that the issue is fully resolved. It was confusing to assemble the arms of the mobile ( the directions were vague), I was afraid of pushing to hard and breaking the plastic. Overall it seems like a very cheaply made product.
