Very unhappy. This appears to be a counterfeit product.I have used Surface Awaken Therapeutic Treatment for several months, buying the product from my hair care salon. I have been very pleased with how well the salon-purchased treatment works - my hair was growing back noticeably and coming in dark rather than gray.My salon ran out of product one day, so I decided to purchase it here on Amazon. The price was much less - and now I know why - this product is nothing like the salon product. It has damaged my hair, the new hair growth is gone, large quantities of hair are lost every day, and my hair, usually straight and thin, is now broken and frizzy. Large patches of my scalp are showing, worse than it has ever been. I have used this for a few weeks, hoping that I was just seeing things but finally the damage is so noticeable, that my husband, who generally does not pay attention to my hair, asked me "What's happened? Your hair looks bad. Did you change something?" Nothing changed except using this product instead of purchasing it from my salon.I believe this is a counterfeit product. The vendor above is not the Surface Company. Buyer beware.

Works exactly as described. I had breast cancer & went totally bald. While going through chemo I washed my scalp with the Surface shampoo & after my shower I put this leave in treatment on my bald scalp & it has been a year & my hair is past my shoulders & thicker than before. I recommend this one product very highly

*while this product shows up as a different name in your shopping’s cart (trinity strengthening conditioner), it is definitely the Surface Awaken product*I’ve always had some minor issues with seborrheic dermatitis as an adult, but it got really bad in the last few months (I’m 33). Nothing had changed in my hair washing routine, but the pH of my scalp seemed to be eternally off. The only relief I was finding was from apple vinegar (with “The Mother”) and water rinses, sometimes multiple times a day. I was trying to avoid going to the dermatologist if I could, because I did not want to use steroids or shampoo treatments that might dry out my scalp and (minor reason) ruin my hair color.My hairdresser recently switched to carrying Surface products, and I bought the entire Awaken set. The shampoo and conditioner are fantastic. They work best when you slowly massage (in circular, gentle motions) and allow them to sit on your scalp.But the real star is this strengthening treatment. It is cooling and calming for your skin, and it keeps my irritated scalp in check. I’ll use it for spot treatments during the day, but I always put it on after washing my hair.Please, PLEASE support your local businesses and purchase these products from stylists who carry this line. But if you’re in a pinch, this product IS the real thing (despite what other reviews on here have said), and I will continue to purchase on here in between seeing my stylist, because I go through a big bottle a month. And it’s worth every penny.

My hair has been thinning for years due to a low thyroid level. I have been on Synthroid for it, but when a friend had some sudden hair loss and her beautician recommended this product, I decided to try it too. I have been using it for a little over 2 months and there is definitely some hair growing back in. Even my hairdresser, who didn't know that I was using it, asked me what was going on with my hair.Not dramatic yet, but I feel very optimistic about what is happening with my hair and will continue to use this product (and the shampoo and conditioner by Surface Awaken) for a long time!!!

I should have listened to the few negative reviews. It tingled when I put it on thought that was fine, the next 2 days my scalp burnt like it was sunburnt. Then the next 2 days it itched. I will not use again. Luckily no lasting negative effects.My other issue is that I thought it would be creamy or smooth, but it was like water? like peppermint water? So it didn't make my hair feel nice.

It's truly exciting to see new hair growth, and this is years after her treatments.One of the things that is really cool about this product is that you do not need to use a lot of the treatment to see results. You work it into your scalp, making sure that you address the roots of your hair. The small bottle lasts a long time for her. I bought this product as a holiday gift for my Mom, and she's not even done with her first bottle.

My beautician recommended this to me to help fill in areas where my hair is thinning. I was skeptical but I actually see new growth around my hairline and my hair feels thicker. It does have a very slight oily residue to it (or maybe it's just my scalp sweating like it ate a habanero as it does tingle - LOL!) so I use it at night before I go to bed. I am pleasantly surprised that it works so well.

Unfortunately it actually gave me a chemical burn, and an itchy dry scalp. Lol, so now I have thinning, burnt and flaky scalp....I ordered it in May and started using it and within the second day I experienced the red, itchy burning scalp. I stopped using it and decided to give it another try several months later to confirm that this in fact is what caused these symptoms. Unfortunately I experienced the exact same issues within 48 hours. How do I get my money back, I ordered the product 9 months ago?
