I bought these to carefully cut a bad mat on my cat's fur. Love these and will always be my go to for pet care.

medium-good for manicures and sewing
These scissors are sharpest toward the tips, so I have found them a bit disappointing for cutting side cuticles or thread (if used as sewing scissors).

Blades not as heavy as I wanted
I wanted to replace “old school “ nail scissors which are difficult to find. These are solidly made but the blades are more like cuticle scissors - the search continues .
