HaglöfsMen's Skuta Mid Proof Eco High Rise Hiking Boots

Haglof's are exceptionally good boot's.
Comfortable and waterproof from day one.Lightweight compared to many other boots. The sole is firm enough when walking over scree yet flexible enough for hiking. The tread is surprisingly grippy, even on ice.The boot also provides good ankle support, however the internal padding isn't as plush as I'd hoped for, saying that it's not uncomfortable even on long walks.I thought that the mesh uppers wouldn't be totally waterproof, but the internal liner keeps your feet totally dry, whilst allowing your feet to breathe. If you have wide feet, I would order a wide fitting pair of Haglof's although these are fine for me, with boot socks, my feet aren't particularly wide.Overall the quality and fit of Haglof's are really good.Certainly good enough for walking the Lakeland fells in wet weather. These boots are NOT crampon compatible, but are fine for walking in snow at low level.

1000 Mile Boots
Best boots I've had - comfortable, lightweight, waterproof.....but.....I think there's a design flaw.I walk every day with the dog, and after ~800 miles/6 months they have split where the toe joint is, both sides but more on the big toe side - am I expecting too much?

Great upgrade from budget boots
I bought these as I worked out I'd gone through 2 sets of £50 walking boots from Mountain Warehouse in just under 18 months with light dog walking duty. These boots have a much more durable looking and feeling sole which I feel won't wear through as quickly as the cheaper boots. The uppers appear better made and the boots themselves are very comfortable for the 1.5 hours I normally wear them (and feel as if they'd be comfortable for longer). Sizing is bang on which is always a worry when ordering online.Definitely worth paying a but more if you need a product to last longer.

Should last longer than 3-4 months
Hi, Both these boots have split in the same position on both boots and are no longer waterproof. I would expect walking boots costing over £115 should last much longer. The boots are very comfortable a nice to walk in, but expensive if I need to buy 4 pairs a year.Disappointed

Lovely, but disappointing
I loved these boots when I first got them. Light, comfortable, and with some nice environmental credentials, from a brand that I respect. Bought 18 months ago and for the summer months, they've been great. But I live in the UK and I need boots for more than just the freak few weeks of summer we get!In wet conditions, these boot are hugely disappointing. Literally no grip in mud - I've come a cropper a few times and am only lucky to have landed on soft ground! Then there's the waterproofing, that simply doesn't work. Feet soaked in anything other than surface moisture. Would recommend these if you live somewhere dry, or can spring for seasonal boots, but for all-year comfort and protection, maybe look elsewhere .

Well made boots
Having done quite a bit of research, I finally decided to take the plunge on a pair of Haglofs Skuta walking boots. I went for half a size up after reading some reviews and I’m glad that I did as they fit perfectly. They were comfy from the word go. Went for a 4 mile walk and they didn’t miss a beat. Not had any rain yet so can’t comment on the waterproofing. They are warm so not sure how they would be in the summer. Have had a lot of comments on them, really pleased with them.

Very comfortable but not waterproof
This is the second pair of these boots I have bought, mainly for walking around a country park. This pair have been very durable and comfortable, but they are NOT waterproof. I returned the first pair as they leaked and by the time I realised the second pair were not waterproof it was too late to return them. This pair have worn very well having done more than a thousand miles. Just a shame they leak.

Superbly comfortable but with a sting
Perfect fit stylish and as far as footbed comfort goes superb my only gripe is with the material surrounding the ankle and Achilles area for me it is far too stiff and no matter how I try it still rubs on the Achilles heel. After walking 6 miles my heel was really sore and bleeding, I just think the material used is far too course for that area I have had to cut slits in the back to try and Eli I ate the problem. But seriously other than that and it may just be an issue for me they are so omfortable.
