This sulforaphane ingredient changed my mood for the better. I tended to be generally pessimistic and anxious but I didn't see it as a problem because my lifestyle is also so active and goal-oriented. With this supplement I feel more positive and upbeat. Energetic, but in a relaxed way with no stress about anything and that's considering I have a pretty hectic career. It is strange to see what a laid back personality feels like when you've never really had one. I got this brand after looking into Dr. Rhonda Patrick's work. This supplement really positively affects SO many biochemical pathways. If you just read up on a couple of the benefits you will be astounded. Even the wasabi added in has a similar compound in it to sulforaphane that helps promote dendrite growth in the brain, and both cross the blood brain barrier quite effectively. This actually affects brain neuro filament growth and development of neural networks!I didn't expect this supplement to change my life and the effects were felt from day 1 and counting. Not just in dramatically improving mood but it even helped to lower my sugar cravings and appetite. I even noticed my skin became more even toned on my hands and feet, which are areas I see every day, and I could see this change pretty quickly at about the week mark. Come to find out, sulforaphane also helps repair UV skin damage. It promotes liver function. It helped to eliminate my colitis symptoms. These are things you live with and then they're gone. Very odd to suddenly notice a couple weeks into taking this Avmacol that you no longer have a certain ailment. To think that one supplement could fix so many problems is mind boggling! This supplement is miraculous. I don't ever want to stop taking this.

We give this product to our adult autistic son. It has proven to be helpful for him in areas of recall of conversations, previously heard by him and verbalization of those conversations. I was introduced to this by a woman, whose son was taking this as a part of a research study conducted through UNC. It helped her adult son with verbalization, communication and improvement of social skills. (I don't know what amount he was given in the research protocol at UNC). The proprietary elements are all nutritional, and the tablets are primarily broccoli-based.For use with our son, the tablet is ground with a mortar and pestle, and then suspended in juice. We use the extra -strength tablets. The tablets are not swallowed by our son, and the flavor of the tablet is changed by the addition of juice. It is not needed to be used as a means of pain relief for our child.

I love Avmacol, this is the only brocollli sprout product I will ever use, doctor recommended me to try this one because few years ago John's Hopkins medical research center started to make brocolli sprout pills to use to study on group of kids with autism, the results were amazing, they found 35% decrease on behavior problems, however when they stopped the the pills the behavior went back up, so I use this one for my son who is 8 and has autism, his bad tantrum is almost disappeard, focus level is increased, less fuss overall, better mood throughout the day, and I started taking it for my self, recommended to my family to use especially my dad who had battles with cancer to increase his immune system. I'm very satisfied customer, please dont stop producing Avmacol!!!

Liked the fact that it was used in clinical studies. Taking extra strength allows me to take one rather than 2 pills a day. Tablet not as easy to swallow as a capsule of equal size.

They really aren't appreciably harder to swallow than regular strength, but pack much more value into it. I recommend it.
