Great product
Fitment and adjustment was very easy. Works great to block wind across chest, perfect height with no helmet buffering. Doesn’t take away the look of the bike.

Sporty, sturdy, good performance, great value
Easy to install, cuts the wind very well for a small sport shield. I was a bit sceptical but willing to take the chance for under $100. I didn't want a big old tombstone windscreen because I'm not a fan of the look, but needed something to take the edge off of the buffetting at highway speeds. This was a great compromise at a great price point. Sturdy, effective, and cuts enought wind to make the ride far more enjoyable. Looks good too. I was pleasantly surprised by how sturdy the handlebar mounts are. Great piece of gear at a great value.

good windshield
This came really fast. Install very simple. Does what a windshield should.I have a yamaha v-star650, and it looks nice on it. Really keeps the wind off your chest, however, if you are taller, like me, then it deflects the wind straight to your face and eyes. I ride with a full face helmet most of the time so it doesnt bother me a lot. I got it because its not big and bulky and not too expensive.

Nice product to get that wind off your body while you ride!
I expected this windshield to be larger in size than the actual product I received. I guess I overestimated the size based on the photo. However and to my surprise, the effect of this rather small product is great compared to no windshield, especially for people taking their Harleys for fast trips (high speeds) or through windy conditions. You don't get that feeling that the wind is dragging your body backwards off the bike.Price wise, it is quite cheap compared with other products from reputable manufacturers. The windshield is not as stable as I would have hoped it to be, but once the wind hits it, it doesn't really seem to move. The joints have not becomes loose due to vibration and wind effect, so it is quite stable on the motorbike.Installation is easy once you get the hang of it (which means you have to make some trial and error efforts to get the pieces combined together) and it is better to have someone help you to hold the windshield as you tighten the joints. It takes about 15-20 minutes for the entire process single handed, so some help would surely cut that time. The only thing I did not like is the installation guide paper that came with it. It is not clear at all and barely helps (except for the cleaning instructions). But I would not let it affect my overall satisfaction with this product.

Huge difference, but I might also get the Viper.
My first bike is a Yamaha V-Star 650 and I bought it bare about in December. Living in Florida, I use it for my 22 mile commute as many days as the weather will allow.I noticed the wind pressure on my chest immediately when I brought the bike up to highway speed for the first time, and found myself hunched way forward to balance against the wind. Before I bought my bike, I saw other bare cruiser riders leaned forward this way and thought that they were just trying to get better speed from their bikes or something. I learned quickly that they were just trying to keep from getting buffeted all over the place by the wind. The product arrived and I installed it in about 20 minutes, trying a couple of different mounting options before settling on the current configuration. Over the next week, I made a few adjustments to position and angle the deflector according to my taste and to get the desired protection. My deflector is positioned with the vertical supports in front of the handlebars, and extended as far vertically as possible. At the angle I keep my deflector, it raises the deflector about 2 inches above the headlight. The deflector just sits there in the air above the headlight, held up by its supports. This is not the installation pictured, and it is not the recommended installation from the manufacturer. I did it this way because I wanted a higher installation, and I want some wind to come in underneath and help cool me during warmer months. I also read in another review that there is less helmet buffeting with the deflector raised off of the headlight.I needed to hand-tighten the wing screws each time I got on the bike for about 4 days until they held their position. I periodically check their tightness just like I periodically check my tire pressure. The difference is dramatic. When I first got the deflector, I suddenly had no feel for how fast I was going. The bike actually felt comfortable at highway speeds when I was sitting straight up. I have noticed that there is some helmet buffeting at speeds of 70mph or higher. If I hunch down a bit, the buffeting goes away.I've had the deflector at over 80-mph while keeping up with traffic. It jiggles in the air stream but stays put. I'm not looking through it, so I'm not concerned with optical correctness or clarity. I do like it that I don't get hit by as many bugs. For air temperatures down in the 40's, I would might go up one size and get the Viper to use in place of the spitfire. I'd rather have the extra couple inches of protection and maybe eliminate some of the high-speed buffeting, and it might keep more bugs off of my visor in warmer months. The Spitfire made no difference in my fuel economy. I was getting an average of 50mpg before and I continue to get 50mpg.Would I get it again, yes. But as stated earlier, I might go up one size and might have been happier with the larger Viper. If I get one, I will be able to give a comparison review.--Update: 9/13/2013--After using the Spitfire for several months, I switched to the Viper. I found that the combination of my loud HJC CL-16 helmet and the Spitfire meant that I couldn't get the Spitfire into any positions that didn't hurt my ears if I didn't wear earplugs. Several settings hurt my ears even with earplugs due to severe buffeting. The quietest positions that I tried were with the Spitfire lowered so it didn't deflect air away from my helmet at all. This was less desirable in the rain. The other useful position was with the Spitfire raised as high as I could get it, with its mounts up on the handlebar risers (with the base of the Spitfire about 12" above the headlight). The Spitfire was too narrow to prevent buffeting on the sides of my helmet when in this position, but it was the quietest position. I also lost one thumb-screw during the last week I had the Spitfire mounted. I wish they would use Allen bolts that match the handlebar clamp bolts.I'm still working to find the quietest position for the Viper.

Looks great! Don't work for my bike. (Street Bob)
I really like how Slipstreamer shields look. Having no frame the flow with the look of the bike better than traditional windshields. After weeks of trying to find the sweet spot I can't get away from the buffeting and had to give up. This windshield is just too small for my bike (Street Bob) Still looks great and is a good quality product but I can't use it.

very nice shield
The seller was out of the one I ordered but they contacted me and let me know of other choices. I picked the smoked one because thats the one I wanted in the first place, my mistake, but got wind shield very early. took 5 minutes to put on, looks good on my susuki 800 intruder. thaught it was small and would not do much,,, but took it out for a ride right away,,, wow, it really makes a big differance, I like to see over the shield and not through it. I got what I wanted, now the really funny thing,,,, it shiped from Texas to Minnesota ( Blaine). When I opened it up, its made in Blaine Minnesota. just 3 blocks away from where I live. In all said. I am very pleased with the service and product, would order again with this company. very great service. may even got to the manufacturer and see what else they have.
