Illuminare Perfect Color Mineral Blush

Pleasantly surprised
I ordered both the Illuminare mineral blush and the moisturizing foundation. I didn't like the foundation and I've already found a place for it in the back of my makeup drawer, but I was pleasantly surprised with this blush.I've found the best way to apply the blush is to squeeze a very small amount on the back of my hand and use my fingers to dot the blush on my cheeks. I then use my blush brush to blend it in. I've been quite pleased that it seems to stay in place all day. Illuminare advertises this blush as moisturizing with a dewy finish. Moisturizing? Not so much. And I don't think it necessarily leaves a dewy finish, but I'm not sure that I want blush to look that way on my face anyway. I imagine that a tube will last quite awhile because so little is needed with each application.I give this blush four stars rather than five simply because there aren't many color choices. There's a blush color that pairs with each of the Illuminare foundations, so five colors total. The color of the porcelain blush is a flattering soft peach. However, sometimes I would like something slightly more pink that would still coordinate with my skin tone. I think the only choices are to go lighter with the alabaster blush or darker with the fair blush.I'm not sure that this blush is significantly more impressive than other brands that I've used in the past, but I like the staying power of this product and will probably reorder just based on that factor.

Silky, smooth and pigmented.
This is a beautiful formula and the color works great for me while I am so pale. I chose the lightest color, as I am very fair right now, basically porcelain in the Winter. The pictures are of the tube, when first applied over FreshMinerals liquid foundation, and then set once with translucent powder when all of my makeup was done. You need just a small little blob of this thing, because it is very pigmented. If you have ever used a liquid HD blush, you can apply it exactly like that.It has a thick creamy texture, that blends easily. You can build this up VERY easily, and go for either a natural look or more bold look. This color is beautiful on me right now, since I am pale, but in the Summer I will have to get a deeper shade since it won't show up as I tan 5 shades dark in the Florida sun lol.The color stayed put, and stayed bold, even after I put translucent powder over it and I did not have to top it with a powder blush, you can still see it through the powder very nicely. It sets into the skin, and does not stay tacky in the slightest.I could not be happier with the formula, the packaging is perfect, and the color is spot on for us fair people. I can't wait to try the other colors.

Very pigmented, a tiny amount goes a long way and looks natural
I like using very little makeup and I want it to look natural. I'm in my 60's - past the age of dramatic makeup. I did not expect this product to have so much pigment. I bought Tuscan Toast, and I barely touch it with my finger and tap each cheek, and it is enough. I blend out with a brush for a natural look. There is enough skin tone in the color to blend it out toward the side of the face. With "toast" in the color name, you might think it is brown, but it isn't. However, it is a warm glow rather than a pink glow. My complexion is medium, more fair-medium in the winter (as I write). This little tube will last a heck of a long time considering how little is needed. I have found that the color lasts all day much like a stain, but it doesn't emphasize imperfections the way a stain can. I use it over Estee Lauder foundation, Bliss, or L'Oreal Blur, and it works equally as well with all of these.

Very natural looking
This is a great product. I like to mix it on my fingertips with my spf 50 and then pat it into my upper cheeks right up to under my eyes. It doesn’t settle into the fine lines under my eyes or dry the area out like mineral or powder blush would. It really just looks like a natural flush of color. I’m pretty fair skinned so I only need the tiniest amount to add color but I think it would be buildable for a darker skin tone.

Illuminare is amazing! This brand is the only make up I trust to last all day and provide good coverage. I have oily skin and hate it when makeup rubs off or fads. Plus, I am not a person who spends lots of time on make-up and practicing techniques to applying it. I want something to cover the dark circles under my eyes, any blemishes and scares, evens my skin tone, and overall, makes my skin appear smooth, even in the rain. The blush, though, is very faint. It looks good right when I put it on in the morning, but it becomes invisible as the day goes on. It could be the product or it could be my coloring.

A Pretty and Natural Blush
This is a highly pigmented blush that provides a smooth and flattering warmth over my powdered mineral make-up. A little goes a long way, this lil tube will last forever. I find that I get the most control my using my fingertips to apply it. (I put a tiny dot on my cheeks and blend it outward from there.) It looks nicer than powder blush on my mature skin and the wear is pretty bullet proof. (Water, transfer and sweat resistant.)

Perfect for a natural look
This is the best blush for a natural day time look. You can layer on more if you like, but for my "mature" face and lifestyle this is the best blush ever. I mix it with a little moisturizer to apply. It's a tiny tube but the smallest drop is more than enough. I wear makeup every day even if I'm just staying home and the little tube lasts for 6 months or more.

A very little goes a long way, just like their make. smooth. I’m still refining the technique.
It is very concentrated. The color is really pretty.
