PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale

First off...if you have a Vita, you MUST buy this game. This definitely is the Super Smash of Playstation. All of the game modes on this game are epic!!! I like ranking my favorite characters up, its fun to unlock items, costumes, pictures, intros. I would 100% recommend this game to anyone. You can play for hours. I like using different characters in solo mode. (Only 2 cons...)Cons: 1. The ranked matches take long to find opponents, the unranked...you can find opponents. But when you do, people have their players ranked at "999" and "121"...really??? I would have liked more even (close in rank) game match up.2. The camera zooms out too far (online, 4 players) and its not easy to recognize where you are sometimes. Along with some stages, the background colors and graphics may make it hard for you to identify yourself when in a match with 3 or more players (in general).This is my first game for my Vita, & I love this game. I did my homework on it and am just happy with my purchase.

Concept-wise, Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale is exactly like Super Smash Bros, but the similarities in my opinion, end there.In fact, I have to say, I like PSASBR a lot better than Super Smash (and I LOVED all 3 Super Smash games.)First, I really like that there are no cheap-shot kills and that you can't just pummel someone until you're ready to do a flashy finish with an item or Smash Ball. I also like that you have to be more strategic in how you use/place your supers. You can't just shoot, plant or use them anywhere. This is especially true for a couple of Level 1 Supers (Nathan Drake, Nariko)Hazards play a significant role on every stage, which I think makes the game more fun. Super Smash always had a few stages that had hazards, but not every stage.The online multiplayer is pretty fun. The only bad part about it is that it at times is either incredibly slow or disconnects The screen can also become a little cluttered when everyone is knocking everybody around, but it's no worse than Super Smash with multiple item drops. I actually think it's cleaner because you don't have any instant kill items or poke balls. Oh, and when there are item drops, the only way to pick them up is by touchscreen. Not exactly the best way to use it in my opinion, but oh well. I also really liked that they gave each character a little background story in arcade mode before and after they finished their ladderI would definitely recommend this game if you're a fan of the genre. Even if you're not, give it a try anyway, you won't regret it It's a blast and an excellent title for the Vita!

This is a game that seriously needs another chance. A Playstation crossover game in the style of Super Smash Bros is a very fun idea, and can turn out something really high quality if given the proper attention. The game we have is fun and enjoyable to play, but it just doesn't have very much content. Combined with the fact that the roster has a few questionable choices (No Crash or Spyro still boggles my mind), and you have a game that while fun, just can't compete with Smash in its current state. Though I will stand by that I think Sony should give it another shot.

Ok, first things first. People keep comparing this to Smash Bros. and its obvious they're both similar but at the same time they're quite different. Smash is more of a casual, care-free type of fighter where the objective is simply to hit the opponent off the screen and its a lot more predictable since you know who is going to go next by the damage percentage. All stars on the other hand is a lot more technical while a new comer can manage a few simple combos, chaining combos into supers and grabs is something you definitely have to practice which adds more depth to the combat system. Not to mention games get a lot more intense when everyone has at least one meter and could possibly wipe out everyone in a second. This really keeps you on the edge and makes it feel like how a fight should which is why i prefer All Stars over Smash Bros.As for the campaign you won't really find anything spectacular here but the multiplayer is where its at especially online. The visuals are also great. Colours pop and the Vita's graphics are on par with the of the ps3 and constantly maintains 60 frams per second. Plus you can play with people on ps3 through PSN.

More than I expected , I bought this for my Vita and didn't go into it expecting much , however I now find myself not been able to put it down . Its so much fun , its smash brothers but for the PlayStation fans . Online play is great I connected with no problems and game play online is flawless . Characters are great and its so much fun just seen all your favorite PlayStation characters in one game , I hope this series continues .

This is a very good fighting game, similar to smash bros but with enough changes for it to feel quite different. Instead of death from getting knocked off the screen its more about combos to gain energy and kill using special attacks, you can also steal energy from enemies using items, grabs and some other attacks. The only complaint is that because these special attacks are the only way to get kills the specials need to be more closely balanced, and how easy it is for the character to gain energy. I'm not sure it's balanced enough.

I did not get the online code with the game! So I could not use the full features on the game. I am displeased!

Es buen juego dejando de lado las comparaciones con smash donde todavía se ve ampliamente superado por este título de Nintendo. Los personajes están algo desnivelados por lo que en línea siempre encuentras a los mismos persones pero para jugar con amigos es muy entretenido

The game was a gift for my nephew and he loved it. The item arrived before Christmas and just on time.
