Farro is an ancient form of wheat with a hearty, nutty flavor, which has been grown in central Italy on the Appennines Mountains and has been used since Roman times. Farro is healthy and grown organically without the use of pesticides or synthetic fertilizers. La Terra e Il Cielo selects only the finest organic durum wheat and mixes it with natural spring water. Compared to the traditional method, the 48 hour low temperature drying process preserves higher protein content in order to provide a nutritional product.
