Rock Your Hair Bombshell Big Hair Powder, 0.88 Ounce (Set of 2)

First off, this is NOT a dry shampoo. This is a hair volumizing powder. A little goes a long way. The best way to use it is to lift your hair up and sprinkle a very small amount in the area(s) you want volume. I've also used  Got 2B Powder'Ful Volumizing Style Powder 0.35oz (2 Pack) , but I prefer this RYH Bombshell Hair Powder because of its smell and texture. Bombshell's texture is closer to baby powder and it smells nice. There is no white residue remaining after you rub it in your hair/scalp.In order to give hair volume, it does leave the roots (where you sprinkle the powder) where it is hard to run your fingers or a regular brush through. I wouldn't describe it as sticky, though. And no one is going to notice it, or even feel it (if they touch the top of your hair). The ONLY way to feel it is to stick your fingers all the way down to your scalp and attempt to run your fingers through the hair at the scalp.The detangling wet brushes will allow you to brush your hair, as well as remove most of the powder (if you want/need to). These brushes all work equally well at brushing through roots with volumizing powder in it ...  The Wet Hair Brush, Metallic Purple , The Wet Brush Detangling Shower Brush, Colors Vary , SHARKK Hair Brush Professional Detangling Shower Brush For Wet Or Dry Hair (Black) ). Don't attempt to brush your hair at the roots with a regular brush.If you are looking for just a little volume, or to just absorb oil at the scalp, volumizing powders are not really the way to go. Instead, I recommend using a dry shampoo. I like  Dove Invigorating Dry Shampoo, 5 Ounce  and  Batiste Dry Shampoo Strength and Shine, 6.73 Ounce . Dry shampoos can leave some white residue. The best thing to do is to massage your scalp and run your fingers through your hair. If you still need more white removed, run the wet detangling brush through your hair a few times and that does the trick.

This stuff is amazing. I have super soft short straight hair and styling was always hard cuz it would always fall down unless I used a lot of hairspray… till someone told me about texturizing powder. I tried many brands before my sister put me onto this stuff. It is by far the best I’ve tried! One bottle lasts me so long (short hair) and it gives me so much texture and hold, making styling a breeze. Also when I use this in my hair my hair can go days before my hair looks oily.

I can't believe it, a hair product that does what it says it does. And I am not even a professional. What I mean is, I found this product worked as stated and on the first try, giving my heavy hair lift at the root. My hair is long, dry, thinner strands but lots of it. My hair tends to get flat at the root and then becomes wavy/curly, tee pee head is pretty common for me.It does create a flat color rather than creating shine, that's not perfect but people noticed the change in the volume of my hair at the root the first time I tried it, which was in my office at work!With that said, it does have a chalky/tacky feel. It takes some getting used to, but is worth it when you want volume and definition. Speaking of definition (pieceyness), it's easy to simply move small sections of your hair at the root, where you want it to stay, and it does. It still works the next day, it can spring back from hat hair too... I've never used anything like it.Good luck.

I can't imagine what I did before using this stuff. I have very short and very fine hair. Nothing would give it much body unless I sprayed the heck out of it with hairspray to get it to fluff up. It would fluff at first and then go flat. Not with this stuff. It took a little practice figuring out how to use it, (sprinkle it on your finger tips and run through your hair like you're a crazy person, the rougher the better, and then work your hair until it's where to want it and then a light spray of hairspray to keep it fluffy. Too much though, and it will make it dull and creepy feeling. Worth the trial and error learning curve! I won't be without it - EVER!

I have fine hair (and not a ton of it), so I've tried all the tricks of using volumizing mousse, blow-drying my hair upside down, styling it and then using dry shampoo to try to give it more "oomph" - but the dry shampoo ends up weighing down my hair, and the other methods just didn't give it enough volume. Enter "Rock Your Hair Bombshell Big Hair Powder." Now I use the mousse, blow dry my hair, and after styling, put a tiny bit of this powder on my roots and use my fingers to work it in - and voila! It works! All day long, too! I don't know what they put in this powder to make it so effective (and to NOT weigh down my hair!), but it appears that wizardry is at work, and I'm so impressed and satisfied with this product.

I have very thin hair and have tried everything to give it some volume. My hair stylist tried this product on me then just gave me the rest of the bottle. I used it all up and ordered more here on Amazon. I love this product so much, it is one of my three favorite products I use all the time. Just shake the powder onto your roots then rub it in with your hands, you can bend over and mess with it upside down for even more volume. The powder changes the texture of your hair, making it more coarse, making it plumper. My hair stylist has short hair and she uses it to get crazy volume and she told me that she just runs her hands through her hair and messes it up a little to reactivate, for lack of a better word, the powder and get the volume back. I recommend this for anyone with thin hair or who just wants to give it more volume without the stickiness of hairspray and the lack of hold hairspray has. Also, package came quickly.
