Fits the need
Was not finding any shackles in this size locally so ordered from Amazon. I use these to quickly attached an army surplus (nylon web) load-sling to the floor of my dump trailer. With that I can then secure items individually for dropping off at different locations on the farm. The shipping container was a plastic bag in which was also included an electronic device. The bag is useless for making a return, as one can imagine. The electronic device got beat up pretty badly in shipping. Conclusion: If buying these shackles, don't purchase other Amazon products in the same order process.

Available and very strong
Interestingly went to a local stock to buy these suckers. Not available two different locations. These are obviously stock and well made as advertised.

sturdy
These shackles are super sturdy, as promised. They will be great to use on my truck and around the farm. I took off one star though because the finish is fairly rough. Of the 10 shackles I got, 9 have smoothly turning screw pins and one is slightly rough to twist due to the finish but still very useable.

Great product that can be relied on!
The media could not be loaded. US Cargo Control 5/8 Inch Galvanized Screw Pin Anchor Shackles in a 10 PackThese shackles are impressive! They are large and super strong. The pins are 1 inch in diameter and fit through the eye of the US Cargo Control 1/2 Inch x 12 Inches Galvanized Eye and Eye Turnbuckle. All of the shackle pins were easy to remove and reattach to the clevis. There should be no concerns whatsoever that these shackles will do everything they are designed to do.I have a personal community service project (see video) that involves pulling junk such as tires, and other car parts, old appliances, and assorted other junk out of a creek valley. I am doing this because I hate junk in the woods, it is great exercise, setting up this kind of thing is fun, and when I am done, the woods look so nice without the junk. I have included a video that explains what the project entails. Briefly, I need to put in a utility zip line that will be about 250 feet long and will allow me to pull the junk up and out of the woods. It’s taking me a while to finish the zip line because some of the equipment is a little more expensive than I can buy right now. So I am accumulating the necessary items as I am able. These shackles will be used to attach the zip line to the turnbuckle and to the steel cable thimble loops. I will be using at least five of the 10 shackles that I have reviewed here to attach various parts of the zip line and a pulley to the trees that are located at the top and bottom of the hill. I am wrapping the trees with junk tire strips to assure that the steel rope doesn’t damage the tree bark. I am arranging the loops around the trees so that they can be removed when not in use. The shackles and turnbuckle will support attaching and detaching the ¼” galvanized steel aircraft cable to when not in use. This review is being combined with a review on the US Cargo Control 1/2 Inch x 12 Inches Galvanized Eye and Eye Turnbuckle mentioned above.

Did everything I needed - nice strong shackles
Used a few of these while moving logs from a tree we cut down. The pieces weighed in about 200-400 lbs so I needed more than the small ones I had - rated to 150.These are typical looking shackles, but being 5/8" they had better weight capability than I needed and the opening was large enough so it didn't bunch up the lifting strap. I used a lat bar as a load spreader and it worked great. I was able to stand up several 4ft pieces of the trunk and move a few smaller ones.Next is moving the big red oak pieces, but I have to build a taller lift for them.

Heavy Duty
These are some serious shackles. They are heavy duty and get the job done. They galvanization on them is of good quality and I expect them to last quite a while. They do have that 'unfinished' look so if that is something you don't like then I would look elsewhere. These work great in my experience for vehicle recovery. I often have to pull stuck vehicles out of the snow or ditches and these work great for my needs. They don't have any soft finish to them so if attaching it to a point where surface finish must be preserved I would use something else. These things are heavy duty and put in work. If you just need some simple shackles that will do the job, these are the ones to get.
