You know how when you go to order something from Amazon that you you know is made overseas and it's impossibly low priced and you are suspicious of the quality but the price is just too good you're willing to take the chance and purchase it, then you get it and you are amazed at the quality of the item? This isn't like that.The box is flashy, the strap is firm and stretchy the light is bright enough. It's got a few lighting modes to appease the masses but the bottom line is, it feels like something you'd get at a dollar store. I'm not sure what it is, the quality of the plastic, the feeling you get when you open/close the battery compartment...I'm not sure, it just feels cheap.That being said, it works. It's lightweight and so far hasn't failed. This is why I give it 4 stars, nothing less and nothing more. I cannot fault the manufacturer for making this as cheaply as possible and I have to give them credit as it seems to perform as advertised but the feel of the product makes me hesitant to buy another.

Cool inexpensive headlamps with good beam options. One of them doesn't have the gasket to seal the battery compartment though, guess QC was slacking. If they where both in working order I'd give 5 stars for lightweight budget lamps.**update 9/20/19**The seller contacted me via email as a basic follow up and corrected the issue FAST. As in original review these are cool budget lights that will cover the majority of my needs, and the support is fantastic. I won't hesitate to buy from these fine folks in the future!

Update on 12/08/19:So I used one of these lamps to replace a light switch. Took about 20 minutes from removing plate to putting the plate back on. After that 20 minutes the light was very hot after being on the high light setting the whole time. I am not going to reduce the rating but it is something to certainly keep in mind.Original Post:The title says it all. For the price, you can't beat these lights. Maybe not the most powerful, maybe not with a rechargable battery, but they are cheap enough that having one for all members of a group is very easy to do financially. I have these with lithium AAA batteries in them in the event the power goes out or something. That way you have no memory effect, long-term storage without leaks and giving the light the power it needs when you need it.

I've been using these over the last two months for outside work, as it gets dark early this time of year. I am very pleased with the brightness (better than many of the retail store lights at higher price-points) and appreciate the option of the bright LED "flood" light and the more traditional, focused "flash light" type light. The flashlight part has a low and high setting, although in my applications I've really only used the high mode.The flood was plenty bright for me while skinning a deer in my shed that has no lights. The "flashlight" is excellent for walking in the woods or anywhere you need to see further ahead than the floodlight allows. Although the flood would probably be fine for that as well as you can see probably 20 feet with just that. The more focused beam allows you to see pretty clearly well out to about 40 yards or so, and then less clear after that.It is also very light weight and easy to pack, or carry in a pocket. I really only have two somewhat negative observations:1) the switches are the type that have a rubber housing over the switch, but the rubber housing is almost flush with the overall plastic cover of light. It makes it very difficult to operate the switches with gloves - you just can't really feel where the switches are. I've had to remove my gloves every time. If they protuded further from the light housing it would be more tactile and easier to use.2) I'd prefer just the high/low focused beam, and the LED flood light. The red light is very dim - I thought it would be enough to set up my tree stand in the dark, and it's possible but very dark. I have no idea why there is flashing red light mode - in an emergency you would probably use the flashing "high beam" to be seen, so the flashing red seems useless to me. Also, you have to cycle through the red light modes to turn off from the LED flood light. It's only two more clicks, but why press 3x, when 1x could just turn the light off. Some people may have uses for the red/red flashing - but I'd prefer a simpler, more straight-forward approach to function.The flash light is a separate switch then the LED flood/red light switch, and cycles between high/low/flashing.Those two minor gripes aside, I think for $12 for a TWO-pack, you really can't go wrong. I keep one in the car and one in the house so I will always have one when I need hands free light. Certainly a better value than you would find at a big box retailer or the pricey outdoor stores. I plan on using these a lot. Will update if any issues surface.

Ultra bright with multiple light modes and red light. I bought these for my grandson and I to use on the beach at night to look for ghost crabs, unfortunately, we were caught in the hurricane and we had to evacuate. He wore it around the condo shining the light into everybody's faces. Needless to say we were all blinded By the Light. No pun intended.

Original review November 2019: Bought a two pack. One headlamp works, the other does not work. When you turn it on, it immediately turns off when you let go of the button.REVISED REVIEW 11/2019 Gear lamp sent me a new 2 pack of headlights (with Bonus batteries included ) as replacement for getting a bad headlamp. I have to give Gear Lamp a (5) FIVE STAR rating for customer service. (I did not request a replacement because I didn’t test the headlights until 2 months after purchasing and figured it was too late to refund. They sent me new headlights because of my poor review). I’m still a little skeptical of the quality of the headlights so I’m giving a 3 star overall. Hopefully quality control will improve. If the lights hold up well I may revise my review with more stars.2nd revised review , February 2020: Out of 4 headlamps I received, one was dud, the other 3 I have been using several times a week for over 2 months. The 3 good ones I have have worked fine and are plenty bright for loading work truck in the dark or finishing up a job after dark. These headlamps are a good price for what you get ($10 each). If you get a light that doesn’t work, Gear Lamp will replace it. I’ve up my review to 4 stars.
