Great fan that can move more air than expected. Excellent speed control.
Excellent fan. A little loud when on high but whisper quiet on low and it moves so much air than the previous little 6 inch inline fan this one replaced. To protect this fan and keep it working perfectly for as long as possible, I installed this this in combination with the AC Infinity 6 inch Inline filter box to draw air from room area with a wood burning stove to a colder room that doesn't have a supply vent. Works perfectly and has the benefit of filtering the air. I enjoy being able to adjust the flow as desired. Very well made product and well worth the price.

Great for SLA 3D Printing Booth
I grabbed this fan for venting my resin printing booth. There's a short delay between turning the adjustment dial and the fan reaching the desired speed (seconds). I expected vibrations, but I'm returning the vibration pads I bought. Low speed is quiet (less than the 4" 100cfm fan I tried before) and I can still heat the inside of the enclosure with a 500w heater. At about half speed (as a test), I can exhaust my ~9 cu. ft. tent and it will suck up insense smoke from about 8" outside the fully unzipped opening... meaning i can stand in front of it with minimal fumes (still wear gear). This is still fairly quiet, though you've obviously got a high power fan running. At full speed, the sound is equivalent to a loud vacuum cleaner. Probably not something to run for long at night in the city... though I'm sure it'll grab all the printing fumes and start venting the whole room. Overall, this is what I needed. The previous 4" fan felt like a cheap toy. 3D printing fumes (SLA) are no joke. Also, the larger size meant this needed to be outside the tent or it would hinder removing the printer lid. For me, I used a 4' piece of tube, cut about 12" off, and placed the fan as close to the window as possible (plywood w hole, 12" section, fan, long section, tent). Very happy with the results now. I'll update this is I run into any durability issues.

Quiet and powerful
Very quiet but moves plenty of air. Plastic enclosure is not very sturdy. The wired remote is a nice feature but a bit slow to react. Overall very pleased with the fan.

Terrible leaky construction.
The fan is not constructed to be airtight. The fumes leak from all sides. There are no gaskets whatsoever, the plastic parts of the housing are loose with many openings. The cable glands are incorrectly sized. I have tried to seal it with silicon, but it turned out impossible. The fact that the fan is not intended for safe fume/gas evacuation should have been clearly explained on the listing!

Exhaust for laser engraver
This unit provides a good draw and exhausts my 60 watt laser through about 36 feet of exhaust ducting. Make sure to place it as close to where you are exhausting outside, this keeps your ducting at negative pressure, reducing leaks into your room.
