Looks good and works well.
Some years ago I lost my iPod Nano. This meant that my Bose SoundDock speaker became virtually redundant. Recently I decided to see if there was a used iPod Nano that I could get cheaply to reactivate it, otherwise I was going to sell the SoundDock. iPods, even used ones, are surprisingly expensive but while I was searching I came across this very neat little device, along with similar alternatives from other manufacturers. Reviews for this one were largely positive and of the various choices I think this represents good value along with good looks. It arrived today and I have already paired it successfully with both my Galaxy S25 and my gaming computer, and switched between the two with no difficulty whatsoever. Setup was very simple and easy; plug it into the socket on the SoundDock, switch it on (it seems to go into pairing mode automatically), select it on your Bluetooth device, and you get an audio prompt saying 'connected'. It really couldn't be easier. Highly recommended.

fantastic machine
we have an old version Ipod which has battery problems so bought a cheap little MP3 player.. the only issue was that it was not an Apple make!!!! so did not connect to our Bose docking station... this little machine has a 30pin connector so you can connect you music device to the Bose! either by headphone jack or Bluetooth!! It works like a dream, great sound, easy to use.. just plug it in! works with android phone too so you can play music from Spotify, Youtube etc!! Worth every penny!

Good things come in little bundles
Small light and good Bluetooth connectivity, works well and is so simple to use. I have a Bose base station which had been redundant for quite some time, with this little gadget I have put it back to use, good price too.

Works For My Philips DCB152!!!
UPDATE: Still works ok, only two things I have run into are that my Philips hi-fi now doesn’t go into that blue light eco mode anymore and I’m guessing even switching the Bluetooth receiver off it still powers it in the background. No worries though as it just displays the clock and the smart meter shows 2p an hour running so makes no difference to the cost. Other one thing that has happened I was playing a compilation album and twice the hi-fi turned itself off? It was a hot day and I’m guessing but only a guess as maybe because the Bluetooth receiver is acquiring power in its own standby state maybe the hi-fi isn’t cooling down as standard. That being said I’m trying it right now it’s cooler today and the unit is just warm. Still giving this product 5 stars as I do understand my hi-fi is now supplying power to it and the fan on the back can only do so much. First off, thank you for the people getting back to my questions saying it might work but I think it’s just for Bose. Well I was worried it wouldn’t work only through the auxiliary port. It works fine on this model and it isn’t on the support list. There was some answers saying if you have a 30 pin iPod dock it should be fine and I couldn’t agree more. Not also does the iPod dock power it, it also plays my music from my iPhone on Music app or Vox app from the store. My files are MP3 320kbps and did read that it only plays MP3. Interesting as I tried some samples from a search and found AAC, FLAC and MP4 worked fine? Anyhow, such a good Bluetooth receiver and even though I’m sure it states the version you get is 3.0. Well it must have been upgraded as it’s now 4.1. Usually they say 4.2 and above for not harsh on the compression from your wireless music but to be honest it sounds great to me. What’s a bonus I had a Logitech 3.0 Bluetooth receiver and this is it’s replacement only down to now it powers from the iPod dock on the stereo and now have a free plug socket, the Bluetooth signal that sends to it plays fine with no lagging. Even in my pocket and walking from the kitchen to lounge it didn’t drop in signal. For just over £20 it does make a difference. If you do have a problem with the Bluetooth not playing at least there’s a Auxiliary port to use a 3.5mm cable from the headphone jack to this. Also the Bluetooth name is under SOUL2.

This works, but has annoying voice greeting
This works for my Bose Sound Dock Portable speaker. The reason I’m giving it 4 stars is because, it has a really annoying and cheap sounding voice greeting when you turn it on, when it connects and when it disconnects. What’s with all the theatrics, would have been a lot better with this. Sometimes it’s better to keep some things simple! Other than that it’s fine. I would have returned it but I had to return another different brand one because of connectivity issues so really couldn’t be bothered having to go through another return.
