Is this “normal open” or “normally closed” system… I.e. Does the lock open when power is turned on… or does it require power for it to stay closed.

Welcome to TOPENS! The working principle of the ET24 electric lock is “power-on to unlock”. So, the  the lock will open as soon as it receives the power from the control board. When it is in standby, it does not require power.

Will this lock work when I also have a pedrestrian gate and only want to lock the main swing gate pull to open

Hello, does this lock work with a faac 413 opener using a 455d control board and does it need an additional relay please? thank you.

When using TOPENS ET24 electric lock with a third party gate opener, its circuit board needs to have terminals for electric lock (DC 24V output signal power-on to unlock), and the current of the terminals should exceed 3 Amperes.
