I have recently had an eye test where some changes to my eyes were detected and I am waiting for an appointment with a specialist to determine whether or not this will have any serious consequences for me.But when I saw these tablets available just after the changes were detected it seemed like too much of a coincidence, and them being produced by Healthspan is an added bonus, their products are always top quality.The main active ingredients are natural lutein and zeaxanthin, which are powerful carotenoids found in high concentrations in the macula, the ‘seeing’ part of your eye, and are particularly important for people suffering from macular degeneration, but are good for anyone who wants to give their eyes a helping hand. As an added benefit these also include a good dose of vitamin B2 which is recommended to be taken by all adults.I don't expect to see any improvement (literally) as the changes that have happened don't produce any noticeable changes to the vision, but hopefully these tablets will prevent any further degeneration. The other alternative to these is Macushield, but this is a far more expensive product.So to sum up, this a reasonably priced supplement, at the time of writing they are priced at £14.99 for a pack of 60 tablets (or £14.24 if using the monthly subscribe and save service) the pack should last for 2 months as although the recommended dose is one or two capsules per day, I believe that given the quantities of the ingredients, one per day is perfectly adequate.
