Rebuild Skills UL1007 18 AWG Gauge Stranded Hook-Up Wire, 300V (100 Ft, Black)

The wire came on a spool and was easy to use and of good quality, The service was great also.

The wire is not copper, it’s more of a tin/aluminum based material.My picture is reference of an actual 18awg wire compared to the black spool of 18awg I received that’s more like 20awg.The casing is brittle and stiff as if it’s made of cheap plastic but should be fine for some applications.My intent was to use this for a PSU’s power lead but I won’t trust this product in a component as such for more reasons than stated here.

Good to use to rewire a Singer 66 external motor.

If you actually need 18AWG you might want to look elsewhere. I put this wire in the 22AWG stripper on my pliers and it stripped it with ease. It works for what I needed it for but if you need something more durable or actually closer to 18 this probably won't work.

The 18 AWG wire is so useful around the house and ham shack. Works well for quick and easy dipole construction.

20ga AWM 1569 is what I received, not 18ga!!Tinned copper wire strands, not 100% copper as description implies.

I needed specifically 18 gauge, this is 20 gauge wire. This batch needs to be gone through and re done because it is wrong. The correct gauge is the white wire

I was disappointed in that I thought I was purchasing wire I could use to rewire a lamp. It's not that type of wire. It is useless to me. It is single wire not two wires needed to re wire a lamp.
