Uncle Bens Microwave Rice Mixed Selection (Pack of 12), 6 x Long Grain 250g, 6 x Wholegrain 250g

I buy these regularly for the cupboard so that I have rice for the curry etc. Always good and easy with the microwave.

Until recently when I got myself a rice cooker, this was a staple in my house - it works out great value compared to the supermarket, especially on subscribe and save (at the time of writing, the packs of 12 long grain/wholegrain are just under £6 on subscription). This really tastes average, and it's nothing special. If you like your rice, get yourself a decent rice cooker and a bulk bag of Uncle Bens - this stuff is just gloopy, sticky and lumpy. It's ok for convenience, if you want quick, fuss free rice with no cleaning up, but it's really not going to make your meal that enjoyable. The wholegrain is nicer than the long grain, it's a little drier and less sticky, and the nutty flavour is nice.
