The Story & Songs Of The Wizard Of Oz Soundtrack

My kids tried out for a local stage production of the WOZ and we bought this after they got parts.It's a good version for the play, because it contains lots of extra dialogue leading up to and away from each song, and all the bits in the middle. Quality is good, and they enjoyed the unique packaging.We have 3 more weeks of rehearsals, so if the poor disc wears out from all the plays, I'll update my review!

this is an absolutely excellent way to listen to the movie instead of just the soundtrack. th fact that the whole story is present on the album is spectacular!!!

… This CD also has that weird noise like simulated stereo on a video tape most of the time.The 1995 two CD set from Rhino is absolutely the best soundtrack from The Wizard of Oz ever made. It sounds extremely good, very clean and has ALL of the music (even the deleted scenes) expertly edited together, plus bonus tracks. That two CD set in a beautiful book is one of the all time best movie soundtracks ever produced.

I had the soundtrack on cassette and I wanted to upgrade because my tape was going because the film had been damaged a little due to a bad player. This CD was appealing because of the additional tracks I didn't have PLUS the case has a pop-up display which is awesome! I bought this CD the same day I saw the release in 3D IMAX, which was great too.

I love this cd so much and I love The Wizard of Oz movie is one of my favorite movies and I was so happy to just hear all the sounds and hear the Wicked Witch and Dorothy and scarecrow And everyone this CD is wonderful i love it

My son fell in love with The Wizard of Oz when he was two and couldn't get enough of it. I bought this so we could listen to it in the car on the way to the babysitter every morning. He loves to hear the wicked witch. He knows the lines by heart.

This special edition has not only the songs, but quite a bit of dialog..it's almost like listening to the whole movie. I love it!!!

If you are looking for the original LP with the dialog and songs that matches the 1956 MGM vinyl issued in support of the first TV broadcast, you will not find it. TMC edited it down to fit on a cd.I wish TMC would release the exact original.

It's worth mentioning much of this soundtrack is in stereo and contains far music than in normal releases.

It has a good sound quality, for me the best moments of the film. Nice CD-cover solution, too. Highy recommended.
