these spare parts saved the life of the controller that came with my GameCube system. i got the GameCube 15+ years ago back when it was originally released.

These were pretty good. But for some reason i didn't receive the Y button or a d-pad. The buttons are a bit shorter than original ones, and the bumpers don't have all the components needed to attach them to the controller.

I bought this product to replace the buttons on my Nintendo Gamecube controller. It fits perfectly on my controller with no issues and the buttons work as intended. For the most part the buttons were equivalent to the original Gamecube controller. However, the buttons from my original Gamecube controller (bought when the Gamecube first came out) differ in two ways from this set:1) The L/R shoulder buttons on the original have latches where the metal bars attached to the piece below it goes to as well as a spring to accompany both pieces. This doesn't have that and the piece with the metal bar doesn't have a metal bar either. I assume this is meant to work with just the spring, but I prefer having the bar for the resistance. However, keep in mind if you need a replacement spring this set will not have one for you.2) The original Z button has a strip of metal that allows for it to bounce back into its original position after pressing it. This one doesn't have it and it results in a more stiff Z button. The only thing allowing it to go back to its original position is the physical button on the inside of the controller.I'm giving it 4 stars because based on how the buttons are configured if I completely replaced my buttons with these the Z button would be too stiff and the L/R buttons would not work without something to push it back to its original position (assuming the original spring in your controller does not work anymore). However, because I only needed to replace the C stick and analog sticks on my controller this was not an issue for me since I used my original buttons but it could be an issue for someone else if they need to fully replace those buttons for some reason.

I purchased this button replacement pack mainly for the gray joystick. Much to my dissatisfaction it was not even the same height or fit of joystick. Unusable and unplayable for someone who is used to the original, 0/5 stars for sure
