I am not sure about longevity as I just received and installed it..... Fast shipping by Amazon, the item was as described. It arrived and I went right to work installing it. I had to use the process of elimination (I really need to invest in a tester). When I found the faulty coil it fired right up and ran like a top. I will give it a little time to see how long it last. If it has some longevity I for sure will be ordering 3 more. For the price you can not go wrong as it is 1/3 the price of an auto parts store.

I have owned a goodly amount of GM vehicles with 3800 and 3400 engines. The Standard Ignition DR39T coils that I had purchased in the past were made in Taiwan. They seemed to be good quality and looked and fit like OEM. The latest batch of DR39T ignition coils that I purchased stated 'Made in Poland' on the box, however the coil stated on it 'Made in Taiwan'. They look exactly like they always have. I imagine if they are in fact made in Poland that Standard Ignition moved the assembly line from Taiwan to Poland. I'm curious if Standard Ignition is going to move a lot of their manufacturing to Poland. Maybe Poland is going to be the next manufacturing powerhouse in the world.

Putting in new ignition coils made a huge difference on my car. Made my twenty year old buick feel like new again. It's an inexpensive way to put some life back into your car. I'd recommend doing plugs and wires while you're at it. Only took about twenty minutes to switch them all out. You'll need a 5.5 mm socket to change the bolts out but that's it. Comes with the rubber gaskets.

I have an old Buick with a 3800 Series 1 engine. The check engine light was on and the car was running poorly, as if one of the cylinders was misfiring or not firing at maximum power. I checked the coils and one was not firing as strongly as the other two. So I bought this DR39T to replace it.The good: It fixed my problem. After I installed it, the check engine light turned off and the car ran normally again.The bad: Only lasted a year-and-a-half, about 10,000 to 12,000 miles.This part has a one year warranty, so technically it did exceed it's warranty period, but to me, that's barely meeting the minimum expectation, especially given the low mileage driven during that time.Honestly, if you're planning on keeping your vehicle for at least a couple of years, it's probably worth the extra $$$ to buy OEM (Delphi or Delco).If you're just trying to eke another year or so out of your vehicle, bargain level coils like this one aren't a bad option. You'll save about 50% off OEM. Just don't expect them to last much beyond the 1 year warranty.Note: I replaced this coil with one made by Magnetti Marelli by Mopar that comes with a 2 year warranty. It cost even less than the DR39T and the car's up and running again. Only time will tell how long it lasts.

Needed these car was 04 Pontiac grand am gt 3.4L with OEM plug,wires so I replaced coils for piece of mind. One of my plugs the gap was smashed causing miss fire. Lesson learned always check spark plug gap.

Parts made in Taiwan, per the box. 10 minute install for all three and a big difference. The car had episodes of stumbling and basically not being able to drive, but those were intermittent, the last being 4 months ago, so that was the reason I replaced them, as they do break down over time. Significant difference starting - nearly immediate - something I had forgotten about as things slowly fade. The next thing I noticed was how quick it accelerated. I had replaced the plugs (which had over 100K and the wires earlier with no significant difference). I am curious if the gas mileage increases - seems like a good possibility - car is a 2001 GM with 3800 Series II engine. The reason I chose this product was the cost - the Genuine AC Delco parts (which could have come from the exact same factory line as these, we will never know) were much more expensive. All AC Delco parts come with the disclaimer that the only thing that is genuine is the box the part is in - the actual part is manufactured by someone - kind of link my Kenmore washer is manufactured by LG, the Kenmore dishwasher is Whirlpool, etc.
