Easy to use, affordable
Would be nice if it had an option for disc batteries

Very useful
These are great to have with your battery collection (we all have one). If I’ve got a battery, I just do a quick test and pitch any that don’t pass the “test” and I never have to question which is good and which isn’t. I’ve even given them to friends that were spending too much time and money trying to figure out “good” versus “bad”

Does the job
Easy to use but sometimes you have to move the battery around in order to get it to get a reading.

Basic battery tester, nothing fancy, just what I needed
I like this style of tester, I had no problem using it. Of course I had to test every battery that I could find laying around to make sure it worked, and it did. My old tester needed a button battery to work, and it was cheaper to buy a new tester than to replace the button battery, and this time I chose a tester that didn't require a battery to work.

Inaccurate device
The battery tester simply is not accurate and therefore totally ineffective. I tested a "c" battery which was almost dead as a doornail - and it tested "OK', or in the green area !Frankly, it's an inexpensive but faulty tester.

Best and easiest to use...
Easiest to use and will save you money and time by knowing IF a battery us good or dead. I’ve had this exact tester for over 10 years and it still works great!

Not for the fumble fisted
This device is very handy, but could easily be made more user friendly. It takes three hands to operate--two to open the movable contact, and a third to put the battery in place and jiggle it around until a proper contact is made. As far as accuracy, it is adequate, but a brand new AA alkaline cell barely gets out of the RED area. I find the device very useful, but it does require a lot of patience to get a good reading.

Went back to this model after trying another
The battery fits diagonally between the base and the tip of the arm that swings up. It's always worked well. I bought a differen model for my parents -- on that you put the battery in vertically and the the contacts slide up and down to fit the battery. That one was harder to work with on AA and AAA batteries, so I got this ones so my elderly parents don't have to fuss with that kind of fine motor coordination.
