As a teacher, I am frequently in need of a modest book character costume. After looking for weeks for such a costume, I finally stumbled on this Alice costume. It is exactly what I was looking for. The costume is in three separate pieces. There is a traditional blue dress, a frilly apron that crosses in the back, and a black ribbon for a hair piece. The dress is very sturdy for the price. I am 5'3" and weigh around 118 pounds. The dress is a bit big, but it fits well because of the elastic waist. My favorite part of the dress is that it does not have Velcro! Working with four year olds would make wearing a Velcro backed dress impractical. The dress also has a petticoat sown into it, giving that Alice look. But I did have to iron it to get the wrinkles out. The apron crosses in the back giving it a more secure fit. I bought white tights from target and already had a pair of black Mary Janes. I would definitely buy this costume again and look forward to wearing it many times in the future.

My daughter ordered this to do a function at the public library and it was way too big. Just did not look good at all so we did not wear it. We now have waited to long to back and we are stuck with it. The listed it making you think it was a smaller size she wears a 2-4 and this came in and was a size 14.

The material on the costume was much better than I expected looking at some of these reviews. I had no problem ironing out the wrinkles in the dress nor in the apron. I was not expecting the apron to be detached but it is and the whole out fit is just too cute. The dress is plenty long enough that you don't feel like you are exposed, it hits right below the knee depending on how tall you are maybe right above. My child is wearing this for school for an Alice in Wonderland float that they are doing in their homecoming parade and she absolutely loves it. This ensemble is complete only had to buy the tights and she already had black shoes.The petticoat does make the dress balloon out more then in the picture but it is so cute and the lace detail on the apron is beautiful. I ironed it on cotton\linen setting with the steam on and the wrinkles came right out. I would recommend this modest Alice costume. My daughter is toward the end of the fit range and she had no problems wearing it. She wears a 12/14 dress size and it fit her fine.

This costume comes with three pieces: the blue dress, white apron, and a black ribbon for the hair.The blue dress is one-size-fits-all achieved with an elastic waistband. It pulls over the head, and fit my size 8 waist with no stretching, so I image it'll accommodate larger sizes comfortably. It has a sewn-in layer of tulle that poofs out the skirt, and landed just a couple inches above the knee, so it's a true adult-sized Alice costume, not an "adult" Alice costume like so many that barely cover you at all!The apron is a separate garment, and has two pockets that are perfect for carrying a candy bar or four.I didn't realize when I ordered the costume that a black ribbon for the hair is included—that was a pleasant surprise! I suppose if you have blonde hair, then this costume has every piece you need!I wore the costume to work on Halloween - my only recommendation is to consider wearing a slip under the skirt. The tulle was not very comfortable to sit on for hours at a time.

Upon pulling the costume out of the bag I notice 2 things...#1 - The dress had definitely been taken out of the bag and then CRAMMED back into the bag. It was not nicely packaged like a new item.#2 - The dress had brown stains ALL OVER the back of it!I had ordered the dress and paid for upgraded shipping as my daughter needed it for an event at school in less than a week....so I had NO TIME for sending the dress back or trying to acquire another in time. Soooo...I took it to the laundry room and used Shout to see if the stains might come out. After rubbing over one of the larger stains...it seemed like it would possibly come clean in the wash. So I washed it on delicate and 98% of the stains came out. I got lucky!If I were to rate this transaction as a whole I would assuredly give it a 1 star. Now, based on the actual product and excluding the fact that I purchased what I expected to be a new/unused product without stains....the costume is very well made with lots of pretty detail. It is probably the nicest costume I have ever bought for my children. I was quite impressed with the quality. It is a bit large for the described size...but I expected that upon reading the reviews I had read before purchase. Wish I could give a better review based on the product itself....but I was very disappointed with the seller! Oh and AMAZON...I tried to go and leave FEEDBACK for the seller and was unable to because my profile says I don't have any transactions that are available for feedback? So I am leaving it here!

The outfit is perfect for what my 10-year-old was looking for, but the package says it fits up to size 14-16 adult. There is no way. My daughter is not quite 5 feet tall, and she certainly doesn't weigh as much as a grown woman fitting into a size 14, and it fits her just fine. I realize there's some give in the elastic waist, but I'm 5'4 and wear a size 14, and I SERIOUSLY doubt it would fit me. The outfit itself is really cute. Just be aware that it's not nearly as roomy as the description would lead you to believe.

I am so glad I bought this. I got the standard size which says up to 14/16. My girls are a 10/12 and it fit them just fine with room but it didn't look bad. The material is a little see thru on top but the skirt was full and nice enough material that it can be washed and used again and again. And the apron is a separate piece.
