GRIPON (Pack of 4) Auto Hauler with 5/16" Chain Ratchet and 5/16" Clevis Hook Tie Down - Grade 70

Others have noted its a little annoying assembling the chain Ratchets. However I due give company credit because it saves on shipping costs. Item arrived, ratchet has the weight rating stamped into handle plus the chain hook does say 5/16 Grade 70. Gives me peace of mind that they are approved by the DOT.My only annoyance was one of the pins came with a hitch pin key. I swapped those out with cotter-keys that way I know key wont come undone when I take them in and out of storage compartment on trailer. I still am giving this a 5 star review because what I did is my own personal opinion which gives me peace of mind while towing.

These work well for tying odd ball stuff down. I haul a lot of enclosed trailers and cars on my wedge and these are perfect for pulling at odd angles. The standard ratchet binders tend to bind and prematurely fray when rubbing against the rub rail. They DON’T come assembled, but it only takes a few minutes per ratchet. The ratchet isn’t top knotch, but still worth the money. I have bought 8 so far and plan to buy more as my old ratchets wear out.

This would be a great product if I didn't have to but it together. in the add it shows to be all together.
