S'Quarrels Card Game - Quick Game for 2-6 Players of All Ages

I love this game. The goal is simple. The gameplay? simple. But it's still fun. Kind of like old maid in some aspects, and I like that you can add more or fewer rounds to make the game last only as long as you have, or longer if you want.

Lots of fun for 3 or more.

I gave this game as a gift to my nieces and we all have had the chance to play it. It was fun and easy and seemed to be a hit. The only reason for the 4 out of 5 rating was that the first set I received had a cosmetic manufacturing defect on some of the cards. The defect was only for a certain value of cards, so it was not possible to play this randomly as you knew and could tell when those certain value cards were on the draw pile. My brother contacted the manufacturer and they sent a replacement which had no defects. Just something to be aware of.

This is a fun game for young and old. You collect acorn cards to get points, there are other cards which allow you to take a card from another player or have a war, watch for the hoard card, the first to slap the cards gets the whole pile. I shared this game with my game groups and it was a hit. Fun for kids and adults, easy to learn, I had to buy another set because we have played it so much.

We purchased this as a Christmas present for our family of five (3 children, 13 & under). They love the game and the best part is that it is completely family friendly (no crass humor or innuendos to deal with). It was fun to watch my kids get competitive and laugh and they've been asking to play it over and over again. I think this will be a staple in the family gaming library. I can't really speak on whether or not it is OK for the youngest (8 years old) as he had little interest in playing card games, but it does seem like it would be one that the younger children could pick up easily.

What a hoot! I got this for my granddaughter's birthday. She is 15 and a special needs child. So I was a little worried that she might not be able to keep up with the fast pace of this game and the number of different actions it includes. But she did very well. Grandma, 13 year old sister played with her and we all had a really great time. Can't wait to play it again. Recommended for 8 years and up and I would say that is about right. Adults will not be bored either. Good family game.

Grandkids, 9 and 11, loved this. Played countless rounds with them and they didn’t get tired of it. Will be going on vacation with us for a rainy day diversion.
