Doctor's Best Ashwagandha Featuring Sensoril, Non-Gmo, Gluten Free, 125 Mg, 60 Veggie Caps

I suffer from bipolar disorder. I had been on medication for years but still not quite well. Then, after extensive research I ordered it. For several weeks I felt no effect except one - that I was not waking up at night. But I had no intention of using it as a sleep aid and so thought of discontinuing. Then it dawned on me - that my thoughts were not racing as they did earlier. I was much calmer and had not faced manic symptoms for long. Today, I am off medication and quite well. Apart from this I am also taking lemon balm leaf and valerian root. Of course, I've read about Withaferin A in leaves being cytotoxic but I believe, on the basis of what I've read, that it's well within safe levels. In any case, it's much safer than bipolar medication which had made me diabetic. Now off it, I have had two successive HbA1C at normal levels.

Doctor's Best Ashwagandha with Sensoril worked really well for me — helped a lot with stress and focus. No side effects at all. I only switched because I found another brand using the same Sensoril extract at a lower price. Otherwise, this is a top-quality supplement.

The increased absorption rate is working wonders for me. Before this I tried KSM 66 ashwagandha. I liked it but this is way more effective for me even as a great anti-inflammatory, something that I needed but wasn’t even thinking of when I got it. I have also taken Gaia ashwagandha off and on for years. I love that product also and felt it was great for my daughter. But I was looking for something stronger and more therapeutic for my thyroid, adrenals, anxiety, to lower cortisol, help balance aging hormones, and to support and balance out emotional ups and downs of perimenopause. I felt that due to my mid-40s status, something more potent was in order. I am very pleased. I feel the effects faster after taking it and I feel much more relaxed and at ease both mentally AND physically. I feel like I can actually now be the calm, stable, positive presence that all my meditation only yielded in spurts. ;-) I do take more than what’s listed but not by that much. I will be using this daily for like the rest of my life and if I forget I apologize in advance for reverting back to the rollercoaster. Haha! But really, try it. It’s reasonably priced for sure and do your own research but up to 4 at a time should definitely be safe and I hope very helpful for you.

I take this for memory but it makes my head hurt and I only take one. It pounds on one side of my head so I don't think I can take this mixture but will try just one solid supplement. It does mellow you out.

I've been using ashwagandha for years, both the raw herb and extract, mostly for its sexual effects - combined with damiana, saw palmetto and red ginseng I find it enhances sensation and excitability. I have also noticed along the way that when I use it it elevates my mood, and promotes a calm energy as well. My brand of choice has been Planetary Herbals, a combination of the raw herb and an extract. It's a good product, but I heard the Sensoril was the best and gave it a shot. It's dramatically stronger, so much so that I would recommend using less than the recommended dose - start with one capsule until you know how sensitive you are to its effects. I read numerous reviews of another Sensoril product also sold on Amazon, and while most were very positive I noted some people experience migraine-like headaches with this. I felt something similar, with flushing, though not with the intensity of a migraine, when I tried taking 2 of these twice a day. I recognize the feeling - it's the body's reaction to excessive serotonin activity. If you are on antidepressants, St, Johns Wort or SAMe you may want to limit your intake of this supplement. I take St. John's Wort and SAMe, and I believe that accounts for my adverse effects. I reduced to a single cap twice a day, and find this dose provides the benefits without the negative effects. Another reason I switched to Sensoril - much ashwagandha, and other herbs imported from India and/or China, is contaminated with lead, mercury and other pollutants. I believe the method of extraction for Sensoril may eliminate some of these impurities.

I have dealt with severe stress and anxiety my entire life and have tried just about every medication and supplement out there. Ever since I started taking this supplement my life has done a complete 180. I used to go to work and have so much stress and anxiety that I wasn't able to do my job at a high level. Ever since I started taking this supplement my days have become almost effortless. Once I take this, my stress melts away and my mind becomes quiet. It gives me a calm energy and I'm able to focus and I no longer forget things. I have been taking this for over 3 years now and still love it. Incredibly grateful for this supplement!
