I started out on the ddj-sb3 and have learned on that for the last few years. I felt it was time to upgrade so got this ddj 1000srt. I have to say it is a game changer. Much less latency and easier to control because most things are on the controller and does not have to be done in Serato. Works great and the jog wheels being mechanical was not hard to get used to from capacitive. There are many small quality of life changes this controller has to make mixing easier for me. The only problem I have is the way you shorten and lengthen the loops. They did not implement what well. Here is my take on my purchase. - The ddj- sb3 is great for learning. The ddj1000srt is great for creativity and making the music your own.

Amazing unit. I am an old school DJ, got this unit just to get back at DJing at home on my spare time. The DDJ1000SRT is a very complete unit. From beginners to professional DJs. For an entry level DJ, I would recommend something more basic and inexpensive. There are several features in the unit that I am still trying to learn and figure out. Fortunately, there are many tutorials on YouTube that help big time.

Awesome product, light weight, accurate, sound quality is incredible! I’m from the old school, I’m use to the Technic 1200s but I enjoy playing on the 1000 SRT controller! I would recommend to any DJ. It’s endless what you can achieve on this controller!

I'm very surprised by what this little machine can deliverI hope I don't get burned at the stake for saying this but this is coming from a turntablist and it's so easy to mix with killer sound effects. Also, it's so much easier to transport around than lugging around 2 heavy turntables along with a mixer, with less cables to figure out and this is just 10-12 pounds about. The only downside is I can't scratch as precise as on 12 inch vinyls but I guess it's about timing since I've seen others scratch fairly well, but the mixing and effects and cue pads are so on point and having 4 channels is terrific since if I ever want to hook up a CDJ or tt it's right at my disposal. Plus the DJ suite package came with it with all the effects that I haven't even used yet but I'm already having tons of fun re-mixing my old mash ups. This is a keeper!

I've been DJing since long before controllers were a thing. I've had a bunch of them and used even more of them at bars, clubs and various gigs. That includes the SZ, SR, SR2, SX, etc. They're all junk compared to the SRT. This is as close as you're gonna get to a real pro setup with actual CDJ jog wheels and a mixer section which is very close to standalone pro pioneer mixer. If you're on the fence about whether or not to pull the trigger on this bad boy, let me help you with that. Buy this thing and get on with your gigs!

The Product is well built, more than I thought it will be and it's very accurate when blending your music. It's Compact, not to big and not to small. The one thing I will like to see change is the "external power supply brick" and use the standard power cable. Thank You Pioneer and keep making those professional products.

Very, very good. The jog wheels are so smooth. A great idea. I’ve been able to practice using this controller during Lockdown. I’m more confident in using CDJs once lockdown is lifted.

Excellent product. The learning curve was a bit difficult. The online manuals are informative, but I had greater success with YouTube. The DDJ feels well built and is very sturdy.
