Finally a Tristhlon Shoe!!
I love these shoes! Great for training for my triathlons and definitely a great shoe for racing. I love the lace system on this shoe as it is waaaay easier to operate than the other speed lace brands. After hoping off the bike and running into T2 with all that adrenaline it’s a hell of a lot easier to pull down-then-up to lock instead of having to push a button and get the right tension between the loops like I had to do with the other brands of speed laces. They glide so smoothly so all the loops tighten from the toes to the ankle so I don’t have to try to pull each tension to the right amount. I already bought another pair and will be stockpiling them since the price is so great- and I took advice and got a 1/2 size up. I usually wear a 9 1/2 US in New Balance, Nike, Vans, etc and went wth the 10 US and fits great.

Worth every penny.
I am thrilled with this shoe -- my first Zoot. I have a very flat foot with a history of achilles tendonitis in the past, so in recent years have been depending on those Dr.Scholl customizable orthotics, currently residing in a heavy stability-plus Salomon XT Wings 3 size 12 (I live on a gravel road, so the trail tread is very helpful for that first unpaved mile or so.) But I've been training for my first (sprint) triathlon, and decided I should try to go sockless. So I've been breaking in the Zoots for the last month, and find them sufficiently supportive for at least an hour or two, nicely roomy for my toes (size 11.5 fits perfectly), and pretty darn good at removing sweat (and brilliant at suppressing odor!) in summer heat and humidity. Not that they needed any breaking in -- I just meant I wanted to make sure they'd work. I also packed them on a two-week trip because they're so light -- and really appreciated not having to pack and wash socks. Also, have to admit they turn heads, in a good way, I think!

OK Model, but Prefer Ultra Kalani 3.0
Like most Zoot models, this one is also sized a bit on the small side. Order 1/2 size up, and you should be OK. This model is all right for short distances (for me anyway). My foot is short and wide, with a high arch AND instep, so I need a lot of support in the heel because of my heals strikes while running. Very tight fitting/somewhat narrow when I put them on along the top/instep. I prefer the Ultra Kalani 3.0 for longer distance running - it just fits my foot better. Wanted to branch out and try these, but I have sore calves and tender shins after 6-7 mi of running.

Now a Zoot Fan!
This is a repeat purchase for me. I bought a pair of Tempos back in July and they have served me well - I put so many miles on them, I've worn the tread off of the bottom. Yes, you should buy them 1/2 size larger than most any other manufacturer. I did not experience any of the problems with anything coming apart on them that others mentioned. As a matter of fact, if I hadn't got them so dirty or worn the tread off of them, I would still be wearing them daily. By far, the most comfortable running shoe I have worn. They are super light and I really like the QuickLock laces. A friend of mine suggested Zoot to me (I had never heard of them). I'm not the type to wear super-flashy looking shoes like this, but he had a pair of these and loved them, so I bought them. I don't care what they look like, if they put purple with pink rainbows on them I would buy these shoes again! These shoes were only $40 too, I can tell you I have bought a lot of shoes above $100 and none perform as well as this shoe has. These were so cheap I decided to buy another pair from Zoot and got (and love) the Ultra Kalani 3.0 Zoot Men's Ultra Kalani 3.0 Running Shoe,Black/Safety Yellow/Green Flash,9 M US and have the same great things to say about them. I'm now a fan of Zoot!

pretty good
its love at first slip? if there is such a thing. first time using zoot shoes and ive gotta say im loving it. i was concerned of my feet slipping cuz of the weird lacing mechanism but after an initial 6 mile run my concerns dissipated. these shoes address my slight overpronation but light enough for a racing shoe. most stability shoes ive tried were a bit too heavy for me but these are perfect. will probably buy more to appease my hoarder self. i buy a lot of the shoes i like especially if they are on sale and if my wife allows me too. cheers!

Ouch, my heels!!!
The concept for this shoe was great. I've been racing triathlon for many years and always on the hunt for a good racing shoe. Infortunately, this was not one of them. While this shoe was easy to put on (had to order 1/2 size up), the shoe has a seam that runs along the the top and it rubbed my heels raw. The shoe would greatly be improved if the seam was converted to a smoother version. If you are a triathlete and looking for a shoe that doesn't rub without socks, be cautious of this model.

I would have like, personally
Interesting light shoes that support me enough for my mild overpronation. I received lots of compliments for these shoes !I would have like, personally, to have more cushioning in the front part of the shoe. So for me they are fine but on shorter distance like 5 km. My Nike Lunarglide 6 are better for the same weight.I usually wear 9 US on all shoes but Zoot is running smaller so I got the 9.5 and it was perfect.

Didn't fit
I love the prices on foreign, inexpensive shoes, but two pair of different brands now that won't fit. Ordered per others suggestions and still won't fit. Never again. Sending back.
