I'm giving this two stars due to the product being more or less as advertised, and very well constructed.My grievance however is in what I feel is flagrant false advertising: this thing has a yellowish light, but which is provided by typical broad spectrum LEDs with a phosphorescent coating to give a dull yellow color. It's not amber, it's a pale yellow.In a world where true amber 590nm LEDs exist, the decision to make this product like this makes no sense.

I've been looking for a true amber nightlight for ages that totally blocks blue light. Problem is I don't have a headboard so I had to have one with a long, flexible neck so I could attach it to the bookshelf next to my bed. The yellow color is great, the two levels of brightness didn't have much difference between them, the neck really is long and super flexible and the clip is strong as long as you push it back into place after twisting the neck around so the clip itself is straight on and not at an angle. My beef is that it is WAY TOO BRIGHT. There is no way someone next to me in bed is going to be able to sleep with this thing on, even if I tilt it completely away. So, kind of useless as a night reading light unless you sleep alone in which case totally buy it right now, it's worth it. I wound up covering the lamp part with a black slip-on sock (men: short little socks designed to hide under sneakers, the thickness of thick nylons, sort of super thin ballet shoes). Then I moved the sock around till I had a teeny chink of light showing thru and the rest was blackened out. Only then could my bedmate sleep. Please company, if you are gonna have adjustable brightness, make one of the brightness levels super low. Thinking about returning it because annoyed with rigging this elaborate device up correctly every night for it to work as I need it to buy can't find another true amber adjustable light!

I used it during the night when I couldn't sleep. I read books on my e-ink tablet, and it works like a charm. It is unlike the usual light which you stared at and made your eye uncomfortable. Even I looked at this light for a while, my eyes won't feel uncomfortable. It is very bright. It doesn't completely light up my room, but I can see everything in my room except dark corners..However, here is something I don't like about this item. There was a small scratch on the top of the light, maybe a small defect from manufacturing, but it doesn't affect the usage. If you want to give this to someone as a gift, try to take it out of the original pacakaging, because it was poorly packaged. I am also a little bit suspecting that the scratch came from the bad packaging. So you should decorate it a little and also make sure it has not scratched on it before you give it as a gift. I am just using it for my own benefit, so I am fine with this little con.In conclusion, I gave 4 stars overall rating, 5 stars brightness, 4 stars battery life because I am not sure about it since I just got that, and 4 stars for giftable, because of the bad packaging. Please try to improve that!

This lamp could start a fire. First the low light option wouldn’t work. Then the highlight was too warm for my sense of safety. One night it was glowing white after I turned it off. I never used the white light. I touched it and it was hot! Flipped the switch a few times and it turned off. I unplugged it and off to the garbage in the morning. Don’t waste your money, unless you want a new house should you survive the potential fire.

Using the yellow light for my bedtime reading seems to have made a real difference in how quickly I am able to fall asleep when I turn the light off! I'm very pleased with the variety of settings available. My choice of four stars rather than five has to do with the clamp. If I attach the light to the top of my headboard, the clamp scratches the wall. It fits okay when attached to the side of the headboard, but I'd rather it shine from behind me rather than from the side.

The light colors (2 choices) and intensity (2 choices) are just right. The clamp hooks great on my headboard. The goose neck is pretty stiff but that is probably a good think. The light beam could be a little more narrow as it spills over onto the other side of the bed somewhat.Too early to speak to the reliability, but I'm happy so far.

I really like this little lamp. The clip is extremely powerful and doesn’t slip on my headboard. The neck of the lamp is much more flexible than others I have owned and stays where it is put. I like the high and low light function. I don’t use the white light much as it is a bright, cool-white which I find too bright for evening use for me, but I am sure that it would be great for people using it to read. Nice, well-made product.

I just got my clamp light a few days ago and already feel a difference in my ability to fall asleep after reading at night. I bought this specific model because of the versatility of being able to select either amber or white light. From what I could tell, no other light offers me both options. The amber light is easy on the eyes and perfect for reading. In the morning I flip on “Day Mode” and seem to wake up with ease. All-in-all I am extremely satisfied with my purchase!
