Before I Was Born: God Knew My Name (God's Design for Sex)

My 6 year old starting to ask me very pointed questions recently. I actually just went a head and explained (semi detailed) what sex was. We have the first book in this series so I thought I would go a head and get the second book. This book is very detailed so if you don't want them to know just about everything then hold off. I think it's a great book. I love that it's always pointing back to the beauty and goodness of God's design for sex. The artwork is tasteful and well done. My husband and i want to have a nice middle ground approach to talking to our kids about sex and bodies. We don't want the subject to be taboo. We want them to not be so afraid to talk about or see bodies that they can't even look at women or men or something like that. This book does a good job of that. Just be sure and look at it before you read with them to be sure they are ready for the detail it contains

This book is completely inappropriate for a 5-8 year old kid. It even talks about pleasure when a D goes inside a V. Really??? A little kid needs to know that? it has images that are not for their age. And you’re using God’s name??? Do not pervert our children specially using God’s name. So disgusting!Cero stars ⭐️

I think this book is very well written and I’m glad I purchased it. I didn’t feel comfortable showing my kids some of the pictures(they’re not bad, but I think seeing less is more for my kids) so I used a sharpie to cover what I didn’t want them to see. I feel this is a good introduction for my 10-11 year old but I wouldn’t read it to any of my younger kids.

I have been waiting on a refund for almost 2 months. It’s wasn’t what we were looking for so I returned it. I know they received it because someone from customer care told me (after contacting them 3 times) and because I received credit for something else that was in the same box.The book itself is fine if you want a lot of details. I’m just not ready to share some of those details yet.

Not sure why parents are bent out of shape about the pictures in book 2, they are appropriate. This book looks like just what I needed. I bought books 2 and 3. I've skimmed through and am satisfied with what I see.

My niece introduced me to this line of books and I was very impressed. They are well written. They introduce the subject of male and female anatomy and having babies in a manner appropriate for a young child.

I would recommend this book for parents!

Great read. More detail than I was expecting we balanced in terms of emphasis-it didn’t park too long on the birds and bees. My child was in hysterics at some points understandably the little mind was a little blown ☺️, however the framing of Gods purpose and design covered all potential for awkwardness and was very reassuring.
