These work amazing. This is 5 minutes after lighting, flue is open all the way and door is shut. Firestarter will burn strongly until the bricks are fully caught up in flame. We use Bio bricks and the combo makes starting fires quite simple and mess free. The small footprint makes it easy to store the whole box close by. Repeat customer of these!

I'm 63 and have burned wood every winter my entire life. Probably have chopped truck loads of kindling. Not anymore! This has been a game changer for me, light one of these nuggets with large pieces of dry wood and the fire is on. They never fail, just amazing. Wish I would have used these years ago, I feel like I'm cheating some how. You will not need kindling or paper anymore, buy these.

Good value. We use at least three boxes of these each winter to start our wood stove on a daily basis. I could use kindling and newspaper to do the same thing but I really hate splitting twisty oak logs and we don't take an actual newspaper any more. Lightweight, burns for an adequate length of time, and good enough quality to hold together and not come apart in the box.

I usually don't leave reviews but when i bought these i seen a few negative reviews and was pretty skeptical about buying. I am glad i did, they work great. my first order was lost in the mail they sent me a refund before i even realized they were lost and i ordered the second box and it got to me in a couple of day. i light one of these and put some kindling tp'd over the nugget ad a couple of split pieces of wood an leave it be and it lights great no problems. Before i would use a torch and maybe some lighting fluid and i fight with it for 5-10 minutes. this way takes no time at all, it takes longer to load the stove then it does to light it.

Used to start fires in my woodstove. Lite quickly and I find one will work just fine. If wood is wet I will use two of them. They always get the fire cooking. I recommend.

Before trying these fire starters we struggled with smokey starts in our wood burner fireplace insert. This was in part because it has a triple lumen flue and we weren’t getting the wood heated up quickly enough to burn cleanly. These small fire starters provide a burst of high heat that works much better than lots of dry kindling and wadded up newspaper. We use 2 to get our wood burning quickly.
